Sony has apologised for misleading PlayStation Plus members into believing they could keep PS3 game DLC when their subscriptions lapsed.
"These are yours to keep forever once you have downloaded them." the original statement said Whoopsy. Apparently there's some confusion. I have no idea what the point of the article is....do you lose your DLC? http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...ation-plus-dlc |

On the European PlayStation blog on 23rd June 2010, Sony's James Thorpe wrote: "Each month there will be two dynamic themes, two premium avatars and premium game elements/add-ons for you to download and many of these will be exclusive to members only. "These are yours to keep forever once you have downloaded them." Whoopsy. DLC only active during subscription.... http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...ation-plus-dlc |

Yeah but at the bottom he says "add ons" don't count or something so I'm not sure what the problem is?
The header makes it sound like DLC ....but the article makes it sound like Home buildings and stuff

to clarify, from the blog.
As of now, free premium elements will not be included every month. However, all of the premium elements we got upto now are yours forever. (DLC etc) Themes and Avatars are also your forever! |

I did laugh at Assasins Creed for Ł23.99! Are Sony kidding?
I could order 3 copies on disc for that price! It's just a P take. |

I took mine out towards the end of August and it expired at the end of November. At the risk of stating the obvious, have you turned off automatic renewal?

So hang on, if you signed up mainly for the free DLC, and then they tell you that you can't keep it, surely they have breached the terms and owe you a refund???

hmmm not a bad update DC universe should be downloaded for me getting home from the football
![]() Wonder what the update will be on 22nd? ....................... Hi again, its already time for the next treats to be added to Plus for you! Today we will be adding a couple of little extras that we hope you will enjoy. DC Universe Online You may have heard about a game called DC Universe Online? Well we have worked hard to make sure that you guys get exclusive access to the Beta of this huge MMO Action title. All Plus members will be included and the download is being added to the Plus section of PlayStation Store as we speak – yes, that’s right now. Due to the scale of the game, this Beta Trial will require approximately 15GB of free Hard Disk Drive (HDD) space, and can take an average of 3-4 hours to download, or potentially longer depending on your broadband internet connection. It will definitely be worth it though! We are also giving you guys a great PSP game Add-on for free. Little Big Planet PSP Turbo! Pack, will be yours to download and keep forever today. This pack contains loads of extras for LBP PSP. And finally, try the game Prototype before you buy as it will be in the Plus section from today as a full game trial. Will be back on the 22nd with even more treats for you. |

Anybody else disapointed with the "Festive plus treats"? US get MAG for free basically and we get a mini :S
doubt i'd have played MAG but at least it's a decent offer where as this is just crap ![]() Hi guys, not long till Christmas now so hopefully you are at home and enjoying yourself, or at least winding down at work. Here’s a final thank you for supporting PlayStation Plus before we start another year. From today, you will see the first of many brand new minis coming to Plus. A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks is the first of a whole load of new minis that are coming to Plus in the coming year. During the year, at least one of the two minis each month will be brand new to PSN and two weeks early for you guys. So you are the first to play them! A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks is an extra game for you this month though and is launching in Plus later today, at the same time as the rest of the Store. Enjoy! Next on the list is the NEO GEO classic, brand new to PSN, Samurai Shodown. And you guys are getting it at a 100% discount from day one. This will also stay in the Plus section of the store until the 2nd of February so that any new Plus members in January can get it too. I’ve been reading that you like day one discounts so here’s another one for you. When the great new PSN title ‘Eat Them’ launches today, Plus members will get an exclusive 20% discount. And last but not least for your December treats, here are some more discounts for Plus members: * Battlefield 1943 – 40% off * Blokus – 25% off * All NEO GEO Station launch titles 20% off, including: o Alpha Mission II o Art of Fighting o Baseball Stars Professional o Fatal Fury o League Bowling o Magician Lord (This title will be coming free to Plus in February 2011. We wanted to make sure those who just couldn’t wait that long still got a discount.) o Metal Slug o Super Sidekicks o The King of Fighters ’94 o The King of Fighters ’94 (PSP) o Metal Slug (PSP) Well, I’m sure you’ve had enough of me on here this month, but I really hope there have been plenty of little extra treats, and not forgetting the regular monthly content, to keep you busy over the Christmas period. Have a great holiday and Merry Christmas. |

Looks like Shatter is a last minute replacement for Astro Tripper, then. I'm a bit disappointed that they're giving us Magician Lord (a very old Neo Geo game) instead of a PS1 classic...
