I still don't see the point in PS+, it's a glorified rental service where you don't choose which games you get.

The cloud saves are a joke, you have to manually copy things over (there is no automated syncing), you may as well just use a USB pen as its faster and has much more storage.
My PSN+ auto syncs my saves, auto downloads game updates, also downloads and installs system updates.

As well as doing this, I used to get game demos automatically too, but for some reason this hasn't happened for a good year or so now (everything is enabled in the auto-download option as well).

Deus Ex is a great game, shame I have already platinumed it.

Depending on how you play the game you wont do much shooting at all, its a great stealth game. The bosses ruin the stealth action though, make sure you carry a gun for the boss sections as turning up to the first boss fight with no weapons is a real pain in the arse.
Someone's just lent me this game. I used the typhoon augmentation on the bosses. Only took 2 or 3 blasts of that and they were down. On my second play through now and don't think I've used a gun once. Don't like the attention you get from using them lol.

Fab game for stealth and was completely off my radar, despite it being my favourite genre. It's what MGS should have been like.

Lara Croft is the first game in this new PS+ that I'd already bought, a good run I thought. 1/13 I think.

Glad I held of for Lara then! Not too fussed about Saints Row 2, but will probably give it a go. Still busy trying to get through the first batch of games. I've not even started Oddworld or Infamous 2 yet!!

It must have changed from when I tried it.

So if I start a new game and save my position it automatically goes to the cloud with no input from me?

And if I go on another PS3 and start that game the save will be there to load?

If this is the case I might consider trying it again as manually backing up and transferring saves between PS3s is a pain.

I just haven't the time to play the freebies - looks like psn+ will be the only source for new games for me - still good value for £2 a month!

In my experience the only action you have to take to get your save file to automatically upload is to select yes when you get the option when first booting the game with PS+ active. Then during the auto update process (Whatever time you have that set for) the save file will be uploaded to the cloud automatically every time the save file is updated.

I think you still need to manually download the save from the cloud to recover it.

That's not so bad then, why they can't make it work the same way as Dropbox is beyond me.

I would guess its because like almost everything on the PS3 its an afterthought and so compromises have to be made. Trophies have to be manually synced on PS3 but 360 can sync them instantly, the in-game XMB is bloody slow at times ect.

I assume most of these things will be fixed with PS4 and I would hope you can save and load straight to/from the cloud from within the game itself on PS4 as well.

After upgrading the int HDD to a 1tb after 4 years of usage, i noticed the xmb was much faster - so it probably gets slower over time

Dead Space looks to be the August Title.

I doubt I'm going to renew my sub at the end of the year. The titles are great for light players, but for someone like me who has played dozens of PS3 games over the past few years, it's just not that great.

Hopefully it is Dead Space 2 - I had been thinking about picking that up. I already have DS1.

Think we will also be getting Rock of Ages as the PSN game.

If it is DS2 then it is a good month for me again.

Haven't even started Deus Ex yet.....

It'll be Dead Space 1.

I can't warrent £40 just for the auto saves and auto updates.
I've bearly played anything it's given me over the past year so I think I'll call it a day.

it may be DS1 - although I don't understand why you are certain of this.

If you are not getting value from it then I would stop the service. It works for some, not for others.

Trust me.... it's Dead Space 1

Yeah I think I'll call it a day when it runs out in December. Saying that, it depends what we get in the next 4 months.

I would miss the cloud saving though.... unless of course you can now back up all game saves?!

At least I've made my money back from the sub by selling the disc versions of the games I already had.
