it may be DS1 - although I don't understand why you are certain of this.

If you are not getting value from it then I would stop the service. It works for some, not for others.
.....Sorry lol... you were right, It's DS2.

Ran out of space too so had to delete DC Universe Online.

Thinking of swapping my laptop HDD for the PS3 one so I have 500gb to play with.

Anyone know if I can backup my PS3 HDD and restore it on the new one?

You have to backup your PS3 HDD to a third source. You have to have old HDD, new HDD and backup HDD.

PS3 HDD in, backup to 3rd HDD via USB.
New HDD in, restore from 3rd HDD via USB.

I'm considering buying the year subscription and was just wondering, if I download the free games, do I have them for as long as I have my PS+ subscription or do they get wiped off when the games are no longer available for free?

It takes me forever to get through games so this is a big deciding factor on whether to get the subscription or not. Thanks

As long as the item is on your download list, its yours until your sub runs out

so just make sure every time the store updates to at least start the download

Theres some damn good games this month too.
Dead Space 2
Darksiders (until Aug 15th)
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD
Saints Row 2

As a very casual gamer, PSN+ is the only money I spend on PS3 games. Theres always something of interest each month. Saves me a bundle

Yeah, think i'm gonna stop getting games from lovefilm and just stick to PSN+. Will be saving about £20 too.

Does anyone know what the games will be next month?

Cloud storage is increasing from 150MB to 1GB. I think this is happening sometime in September.

Increase in cloud storage is a good move - and 1gb seems decent to me.
I was also pleased to hear that they are adding the vita to the PS+ service. No details on what this means yet, but it will be interesting to see.
I already own RDR, but the last two months have been great, so they can't score every time.
I think the game of the month for October is Hell Yeah - which is an upcoming PSN game. Looks to be fun.

Apparently Just Cause 2(excellent) and Borderlands are being added either today or tomorrow - the blog is a little unclear on this.

Great news if this is the case.

Just Cause 2 is great fun - and (along with RDR) probably the best looking open world game I have played.

Got to resubscribe before the 26th or 28th of this month might resubscribe for 3 months and in September resub for a year on top of that. If you can still stack subscriptions that is.

I think you misread this, I read:

Big discounts will also feature on PlayStation Plus, with a price promotion offering up to 25 per cent off selected titles for the first two weeks of September 2012.
