Actually I did see it on IGN....

http://uk.ign.com/articles/2012/08/1...-vita-features

Under the video player it says "Also, if you're in Europe, you can nab PlayStation Plus for a 25-percent discount in September".

Maybe they have misworded it, I am not sure.

25% off PS+ subs apparently during Sept. Might go for it then.
I think you misread this, I read:

Big discounts will also feature on PlayStation Plus, with a price promotion offering up to 25 per cent off selected titles for the first two weeks of September 2012.
They announced at the press conference from september 5th for two weeks new PS subs will be 25% off, so Mojo you were right

Oh great, thanks. Sorry, I thought you may of misread is so I apologise there.

Brilliant news then. Up to today, I wasn't going to renew in December, but:

- 25% off a years sub
- Just Cause 2
- Borderlands
- 1GB cloud storage

Has made me think twice. £29.99 is worth a years sub so I'll definatly be getting it now.

Part of me is wondering whether to now sell some games. I have RDR and Dead Space 2 on disc, so if I'm getting them as part of a sub I'm paying for, I could just sell them and make some money towards the sub...

What's everyone elses feelings on this?

If you have the Limited Edition of Dead Space 2 then you would lose Dead Space: Extraction.

In the press conference the way the speaker worded it was that only new subscribers would get 25% off. We'll just have to see though, my sub's expiring in Sept so that certainly would be a good offer for me!

I don't see how they can stop existing people from buying a sub though.

Is it just me or are the vast majority of the PS+ games third person runarounds? I'm not complaining as I enjoy them and my word you get great value here (the games just keep on coming!) but:

Darksiders
Oddworld SW
inFamous2
Just Cause 2
Red Dead Redemption
Borderlands
Lara Croft
Warhammer Space Marine
Saints Row 2
Deus Ex
LBP2
Outland

The only things I can think of that's not a third person shoot/slash/platform are Chime and Motorstorm.

I'd love a bit more variety - sports sims, racing, puzzle?

I tried Borderlands in single player a year or so ago and wasn't that keen. Have a couple of mates who are also on PS+, so we are going to try it co-op. SHould be much more fun that way

JC2 - is all kinds of fun. The main story is poor, but you can have great fun in that game. Looks stunning too....

Downloaded Just Cause 2 last night going to give it a try not really sure if its the sort of game i like but neither were the Uncharteds and i played them without getting bored. Not sure about Borderlands have seen bits and pieces of it in the past is it worth playing? Going to have a go at Darksiders at some point don't really know what its about just liked the picture when it was in the instant game collection.

Just started Borderlands and, in my opinion, an incredibly bad design choice is putting me off, i was fighting 9 toes (i think) at the start and he killed me and i'm thinking no biggie there was a checkpoint near the start of the cave this time i'll be prepared, only when i respawned my ammo was gone from when i first tried and i'd already spent all my money on health, so now each time i retry i have less of a chance of getting through

Why if i'm retrying is my ammo still gone

I think as I will be resubscribing, that I will sell one or two of these games that I'm getting from Plus. No point in resubbing and having the same game on a disc and via download.

Won't do it with all games, but just those I'm not fussed about, like RDR.

I think we should be getting Retrograde and access to the Dust 514 beta this week.

Looking forward to giving Dust 514 a go.

Is anyone else having trouble keeping up with it all? I'm still working through the games we got at "launch", haven't even booted up any of the games since that initial 10, simply not had the time. RDR to come shortly too, all games I want to play but need to take a couple of weeks off to catch up a little!!! Can't believe how amazing this deal is, all for £30 for the year too (got it in the January sale with a cheap PSN card), will be extending next month when they put that £30 deal out too.

Tried Co-op on Borderlands last night and the voice chat ruined it to the point where other players just quit as the audio kept cutting out and you couldn't talk to each other. Dont know why they didnt fix it with an update.

Shame really cos the game is actually pretty good, I completed the single player.

"Will I lose my remaining term if I renew my subscription early?

No, your new membership term will be added to the existing entitlement, so for example if you purchase a 1-year membership with 10 days to go on the existing one, the new membership will be valid for 375 days .

Do I have to wait until my current PlayStation Plus membership expires before I can buy a new one?

No, you can purchase a new membership at any time. In addition, we recommend you register your credit card details to be able to take advantage of automatic renewal and ensure you don't miss out on any of the great benefits of PlayStation Plus."

Because to are resurrected, which also costs you money.

Along with RDR which was released yesterday they have released Machinarium today. really interesting looking point and click puzzler - no cost for plus and I think 7.99 for others.

Just renewed my subscription for 29.99, it added on to my existing sub, happy happy days!

Got Red Dead downloading, always fancied playing it but never got round to buying it, now I'm getting it free, fan-tas-tic!

Enjoy! Brilliant game.
