I seriously doubt God Of War 3 will be given away free with PS+ as Sony are going to release a 2 disc God Of War collection in the run up to Ascension. The game is also over 35GB in size. That should only take 3ish hrs to download for me but I doubt most of the UK could handle that in a day with their slow speeds and bandwidth caps.

Im only new to the PS+ service & am unsure how exactly the instant game service works, There is 10 games on the instant game collection at the minute, I can only take a couple now without breaking my Broadband usage limit, can I download these same 10 games for free at anytime during my PS+ subscription or do the available games change every month? (I understand when sub expires anything I have downloaded expires with it)

Just add them to your download list and then cancel the download

as long as the game is on the download list its yours till your sub runs out

Download all freebies then select 'pause' under network - they will remain paused even when turning on/ off the ps3

Just get what you want qued up

Another way is to add the games you want to your cart then checkout. This will add the games to your download history so they're ready to download whenever you want them.

I've re-subscribed using the £30 offer which seems to have gone through but all my PS+ games still say they expire Feb 2013 (when it should be 2014). Should I be worried or does it take a while to update? It has been 24hrs since I purchased the extension

Delete and reinstall the game is probably the easiest way around it. I'm pretty sure the licenses don't auto update once the games have been installed.

They do auto update. I bought 2 * 3 month and 2 * 12 month memberships. All of my games have updated the expiration date automatically.

I have also just resubscribed as my sub ran out last week, games like Just Cause 2 now show as expired. I can still run those games and when I check afterwards the game now has a new expiration date.

I would say play a game and see if the expiration date changes afterwards.

EDIT: Should make it clear I resubscribed before my subscription ran out.

Same with the update yesterday, the Cloud storage showed 150mb after the update until you open the Cloud folder, then a whopping 900mb+ appears...

That would make sense, I've only played retail/purchased digital games since I bought an extension last week.

Played Saints Row 2 and it still shows 168 days remaining.

The purchase definitely went through, I have the email receipt. Slightly worrying.

Interestingly Retro/Grade and Scott Pilgrim don't have expiry dates

I know it's a bit of a hassle, try reinstalling it and see if that fixes the timer.

I think I'll wait for Double Dragon and see what the time says on that. Was doing the same with Scott Pilgrim though and that has no time on it at all which is odd, does anyone else have the same?

Might drop a line to Sony regardless

Also also, if I delete a game and redownload then reinstall it will it automatically pick up on my game saves/settings etc? Seems like it would as the saves are stored separately?

It picked up my game save when I re downloaded Burnout Paradise recently. However I don't know if it will pick up a game save created for a disc version of the game.

it varies from game to game - some disc saves are compatible with digital versions of the game and some aren't.

My disc save for Burnout was not compatible with the digital version.

It should be fine looking at my games.

I bought PS+ when this instant games collection started which was due to run out about 14days ago during which time I was away on holiday. So about 3weeks ago I added another 3 months to my account and then yesterday added a years subscription at the discounted price.

At the point when I posted previously both Just Cause 2 and Space Marine showed expired, I ran Just Cause 2 which showed expired and that worked, when quitting the expiration date had change to reflect the addition 3months + I had bought and it mentioned 80+ days left.

I have just added another 12months to my subscription, when I ran Space Marine which still showed expired it ran fine and when I quit the expiration date had updated to reflect the additional 15months I now have on + and showed 440+ days remaining.

I then ran Just Cause 2 again and after quitting the expiration date still says 80+ days remaining.

So what do we all think will be up for grabs this month then?

My prediction is either Mirrors Edge or Bioshock.

Im tempted to stop buying new games full stop as they keep ending up on PSN+ as freebies! I know they are a few years old but if you already have those games then you arnt getting the value from PSN+

I have both Mirrors Edge and Bioshock. Both great games would advice anyone to have a play. Mirrors Edge timed runs drove me up the wall ( no pun intended ) so I gave up with those challenges.

The blog has been updated - we are getting Hell Yeah, which had been previously announced and Bulletstorm (Oct 10th).

Great month for me. Hell Yeah looks like a fun title and Bulletstorm is one I had previously hired and enjoyed but never picked up.

Another month were the EU content is far better than the US version of plus.
