Thanks Ash.

So whats the point in the Freddy DLC then? This for online only?

Anyone know if the MK version they released is the Komplete edition or just the standard?

They'll offer the biggest PS3 games for the first year of PS4, Uncharted 3, God of War 3, Killzone 2+3 etc

that's my guess anyway

Discounts, free access to whatever new services the PS4 supports would be my guess. If it isnt PS3 backward compatible then I can see people keeping and using their PS3 alongside the PS4 so there will still be free games for the PS3.

Given that nobody knows what PS4 will feature its impossible to say, but the Vita offers a strong suggestion that PS4 games will appear some point after launch. For the first twelve months they could deliver PS+ subscribers with PS3 games if the system is backwards compatible or offer them via Cloud streams.

Or the service could morph further if the PS4 OS / Gaming network evolves.

One things for sure PS+ has been a big success for Sony (Users wise, dont know if its profitable) so they will want to build on that for their next system. And offering PS4 games like they are for Vita is a great way to get people to convert up to another Sony machine if they have already built a collection of PS4 games on their PS3. Vita became instantly more desirable for me since games appear on PS+, I already have 5Vita game and I dont even own a system, I have never gone into a new system starting out with that many games.

My PS3 isn't backwards compatible

But that doesn't mean PS2 and PS3 games aren't available on the store, why would the ability to play off the disk affect what they could offer me digitally

Apparently the PS4 has a totally different architecture to the PS3 ... Maybe it'll be allot harder 2 emulate the PS3 hardware ... Kind of like the xbox & xbox360 ... But like people have stated previously they could use that new streaming service instead I suppose.

I guess I'd better get on with finishing the first Bioshock then, it would be nice to complete it before starting the next.

Not too sure about the guardians of middle earth one, anyone have any experience with that? How does it play?

I've only played the tutorial really. It is a MOBA game (multiplayer online battle arena), seems to be pretty good fun, but I haven't ventured online yet.

Guardians of Middle Earth sucks IMHO, really not my sort of thing...

Dud update for me this month as I already own Bioshock 2 and dont like fighting games. I am really pissed JSR is Vita only by the looks of things, would love to have had the PS3 version to replay through.

Still at least I have a stack of PS+ games I still haven't played yet and another stack of games I got cheap over Christmas to keep me busy until next month.

I hate fighting games but Mortal Kombat is well worth playing. Single-player is bad unless you're an MK fanatic and take time to memorise the combos, but playing with mates (up to 4-player offline using the tag-mode) is hilarious for all X-Ray attacks and fatalities if nothing else

I have a little question, I have just subscribed to 1 year with PSN + and as luck would have it I received a game about 1 hour later and it has a 30 day free subscription for PSN +, so my question is will I be able to put this in and receive an extra 30 days on top of my 1 year or will it just run in conjunction with my 1 year sub and I won't see the benefit.

The freebie expires end of 2013 and my year sub ends this date in 2014.

It'll just add the 30 days onto the end of your subscription, so lasts 395 days

You can just add it on top.

I don't think you can add a 30 day trial to an existing account.

Very much so.

There was rumour of some dongle ages ago. Could work. Means they keep the cost down for those who don't care (the majority) and people that want it can still do it.

I think cloud streaming may be there from launch, but only for PS+ subscribers.

If you think about it, they have a big problem for the PS4 launch in terms of PS+.

There will be no PS4 titles to give away for free, unless they have someone make a mini-game for us, so they need to continue to give free PS3 games, but I strongly believe there will be no backwards compatibility in the PS4.

Making it exclusive to PS+ subscribers means they don't have to go all out on network capacity, and PS+ subscribers already likely have internet connections capable of streaming as they currently have to download very large games, and someone with a poor connection is unlikely to subscribe and endure that.

I've no idea how many PS+ subs there are but it would seem an ideal thing to test the service before a full launch.

Actually, it is, the Vita version had more effort put into it, so it has less framerate drops and glitches compared to the PC/PS3/Xbox 360 version, which most people would opt for instead, so SEGA is helping that by at least giving away the better version on PS+.

Is JSR actually any good? I mean, if you take away any nostalgia (bearing in mind I didn't play it originally), is it actually a decent game?

I couldn't get the menu screen 2 close when I tried JSR the otherday ... very very buggy game

Which version did you try? Because I did point out above that the Vita version got a better port which had less drops and glitches to the PC/PS3/Xbox 360 version.

I am disappointed they didn't offer both PS3 and Vita versions as they have done with other games as I would have liked to play through that game again but I am not going to buy it.
