What has happened to the plus games on the store why can't i check them out. It's annoying me because i don't want to fill up the hard drive now i can only see a download button i might not want to download them straight away yet it seems i'm forced into it. Or am i missing something?
Nah you're not missing anything sheep, it looks like the store now goes straight to the download option if the item is free to you... you should be able to start the download and tell it to carry on in the background, continuing on to whatever takes your fancy from there.

PS Vita Pinball Arcade Is on the free PSN+ download list at the moment
I know I'm behind on this one, but just happened to notice it's a cross buy title so you can also pick it up for the PS3.

Sleeping Dogs is really good, I think I will be playing that to Platinum.

It even has custom soundtracks, albeit poorly implemented.

You're not missing anything - I noticed that too.

I just started the download and then cancelled it - shows as 'purchased' when I go back in, so I should still be able to download it even after it's gone from ps+

Thats only if you have space on your drive. If you don't, like me, then the game wont download. Since you can't add it to your basket, once the item is off PSN+ it wont be available to download it.

Actually if you don't have room to download a game and it says 'xxxx free space needed to download' or something a like then the game will still go on your download list and will remain available to download after it is removed from +, at least that's how it works for me

Quantum Conundrum is quite fun, played few the first few levels last night. Very much a Portal feel to it but that's not a bad thing.

F1 Race Stars I have one real complaint, and that's the crappy weapons. Everything's a bubble. Somewhat boring. Are more unlocked later as you go along or is this it? I want missiles, mines, giant frikkin lasers...

One of the people who worked on Portal created it so that explains its lineage

Had a quick blast on F1 race stars last night. seems ok. The tracks are good, I like how they mix in the famous corners from the real circuits with some kart style craziness.
The graphics are pretty good, I like the art style etc.
It does feel really odd not being able to drift in karting game though. That's where all the fun is...
I had my first F1 Stars online race last night. I was awful, bumping round the track, going in the pit lane by mistake, and having no clue what any of the power-ups did. Needless to say, by the last lap I was in 11th/12th place.

I then got another random power-up. I shrugged, hit X, and found myself swapping places with the race leader. 2 seconds later I crossed the line to victory and a trophy!

I can't stop giggling about it, even now. If I was the race leader I would have gone mental! If only I could have seen his face.

I had a go on it too and thought this level is lasting for a while then i realised i had to search the mansion for the guy. I kept expecting a level to start because i accidentally skipped the story bit at the start.

It's all bubbles. no weapon unlocks to be had. The game is ok for a short stint but loses it's appeal quite quickly.

Sleeping Dogs was a bit of a tw@, 4.5 hours I waited for it to download, then I had to install, then bugger me I had to wait for 900MB+ update which was 1 of 2, I didn't wait around to see how big the second update was.

Peed me off did that, BUT the game was free.

First thought - this is GTA !! Then as I started to get into it I really started to enjoy it, 5 hours I was playing for

To top it all off, I killed a dude with a fish and got a trophy I like devs with a sense of humour.

Good game, for free, happy days.

That's just ridiculous, poorly thought out. Hate that sort of thing. "Oh I know wouldn't it be funny if there was a powerup to swap first and last place". Stupid. Takes the competitiveness out of it.

Generally something that ruins lots of racing (especially kart) games; it's irrelevant what you do on laps 1 & 2, you'll be within a couple of seconds of the leader on lap 3 regardless and some random powerup will probably screw you over if you're in front.

The safety car thing is stupid too, you can still overtake behind it, just makes people go slower. Oh, that's fun

Another one in the "Potentially good game ruined by stupidity" folder.

I 100% agree with you. It's for those kind of reasons that I washed my hands of the Mario Kart games. It's not so funny being on the receiving end.

Does anyone play this game online ?. I bought it for the xbox 360 and no one seems to play it lol. I'd be up for a few games in MP on Ps3 seeing as it's free to download.

Pretty much the last game I ever played on my Wii was Mario Kart, after getting Blue shelled on the finish line for about five consecutive races I put down the controller, saying "sod this for a game of soldiers" and never turned the thing on again!

Not very far into Sleeping Dogs but enjoying it so far. The combat isn't a patch on the Batman games that it attempts to emulate but it's still a mile ahead of most hand-to-hand combat titles.

Much better open-world game than Just Cause 2, which although fun for the craziness aspect, just had too much going on with little story to encourage you on with.

Personally I had a lot more fun with Just Cause 2, but Sleeping Dogs has an infinitely better story. I always felt Sleeping Dogs was pushing me on to the next story mission, so I never did much exploring of the city, nor did I feel the need to, wheras JC2 just gave that sense of freedom which I think is more crucial to a good sandbox than story itself.

Ideally a good mix of the two would present the perfect sandbox game (GTAV anyone?)
