Yeah me too and Spec ops, but I thought BF3 had allready been on which raises my suspicions.

I mean you could probably live off plus alone and never buy a game from shops
FIFA13 aside, that's exactly what I've done for the last 18 months.

It hasn't, at least not on the EU PS+. Spec Ops (And I think Pay Day) has been on the US PS+ which makes this seem more believable. I hope its true but I wont get too excited until the official announcement.

People may be 'dissapointed' with it, but it's a masterpiece plain and simple. Stands as a pure work of art. I spent 70 hours on it when I first bought on the PS2!

Same with ICO, spent a long time replaying the game again and again. Both games are one of a kind.

You might think so but it's subjective. I felt both games were average, especially ICO. Shadow of the Colossus had a much better concept but it was so repetitive and the gameplay was pure trial-and-error that I fail to see why they are held in such high regard.

But you think ANYTHING Sony related, especially exclusives, are overrated and dull, you can't fool us anymore Mr. Predictable.

I haven't played it yet, I played ICO when it came out, and didn't like it too much. But that was when I was in my JRPG phase. I didn't venture outside of that genre much. So ill play ICO with an open mind. My friends have told me for years I should play shadow and I'll play it next I think. It's tough because this game has been regarded as the best PS2 game ever (according to IGN) how can it live up to that for us now, all these years later? We've played some great games since then. That's not the games fault, so we'll see. I hope I like it, from what I have seen it looks great so hopefully it doesn't underwhelm. I cried at the end of Journey for god sake, I have a feeling ill like Shadow fine.

It's probably not true, but he does give that impression lol. Sorry 2D.

yeah it's subjective!

But everything is, especially materpieces.
But if you don't get it, then maybe you are never going to to get it.

There's plenty of reasons online, why these two titles are held in high critical regard.

I don't personally get why the film, Apocalypse Now is such a 'masterpiece'. So I just acknowledge that I will probably NEVER get it at all.

For me the problem with Shadow of the Colossus is I have been hearing how great it is for years now and its been something I have really wanted to try. However when I played it it felt like a clunky old PS2 game and doesn't hold up too well against the stream of great games that have refined controls and visuals this generation. It doesn't provide a wow factor playing it today for the first time and I am not reliving a wow moment from the past so the whole thing has failed to live up to the probably well deserved praise this game has received over the years.

Maybe if I play it a bit more and give it a proper go trying to forget everything I have heard I could get into it, but sadly my exceptions (Which are sky high because of the continued praise this game gets) have not been met which makes it a disappointment.

Actually you see that's not true, I like a lot of exclusives on Sony machines.

I'm not gonna list them all for you, but for example:

Jak 3
WipEout 2097
Gran Turismo (series)
Super Stardust HD
Omega Boost
Tourist Trophy
Destruction Derby 2 /RAW
Gradius 5
Darius Burst
Aquanaut's Holiday
FFVIII
Ace Combat
RIdge Racer Type 4
Rage Racer
Motorstorm
Killzone 2
InFamous
Demon's Souls
3D Dot Game Heroes

Hell I even love A Dog's Life on PS2.

So don't pull that "2D hates everything Sony exclusive" card. I think SOTC and ICO are average games and done nothing for me thanks.

If anything it was more predictable you'd have a little whinge after my post.

You might think it's a masterpiece but plenty of other people don't. I'm certainly not going to acknowledge that it is one just because others do. I "get" the game, I like the atmosphere but the gameplay is average at best.

But its not subjective, Videogames are a form of art, whether its good art or bad art is subjective

Of course it's subjective you tool!!! Not all videogames are a form of art. I would also lie to suggest ICO and SOTC as bad examples of it.

Would Ash and Jenny care to list some of their favrourite Xbox exclusives for me please too, I think that's only fair play, you don't have to list a lot.

Aw I was only joking, but I will give it a go.
Fable 1 and 2
Knights of the old Republic 2 (not sure if it was exclusive but that's where I played it)
I like Halo, but that is when I realised FPS' make me nauseous unfortunately. So I never completed it.
Alan Wake
Gears of War
Does Dance Central count?

That's about it, I've never owned my own Xbox, I used to play my brothers. So can't comment on other games.

I know you were joking Jenny and I don't have any issues with that, it's fun but Ash has a history of sending my highly abusive messages via PM so he's a bit more serious about it all. Cool, what about Nintendo? Do you like them too? I love all games consoles myself, I have my favorites (which is 360 just in case you were wondering ) but I play on many different brands of consoles.

I wish they would make another Jade Empire, that was one of my favourite games on Xbox 1, it was better than KOTOR IMHO.

Although this is getting a little off topic now so maybe we can swing it back round to PS+

That Shadow of Colossus is pretty shit isnt it

Safe to say Jenny isn't very well versed in the Xbox library and that's OK. You're missing some great W/JRPG's though.

Fable 2 is also exclusive. The rest are indeed multiplatform.

So long as she meant the Halo on the original Xbox as all Halo's from 360 are exclusive.

That's alright then , I haven't played much Nintendo outside of my DS for a long time. I think I may be the only person left who hasn't bought a Wii .

I am tempted by the 3DS though, not for the 3D but the library is just getting bigger by the day it seems. I think the Super Nintendo was my first console, I think I played super Mario Brothers 2 the most, is that the one with the map? I can't remember. Battle Toads (the hardest game ever made) and Vegas Stakes, I properly loved that game. I am a big fan of the DS, fav game has to be Trauma Centre flowed by Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton. When my parents bought me a PSone that became my main console. They bought me my PS2, then I bought my PS3, So they are just the consoles I have the most experience with, cause I became more interested in games as I got older, so my experience with Playstation make up most of my gaming life.
