I cant see that happening, its going to be difficult to offer lots of games at the same quality of the PS3 release on PS4 for a couple of years. The Vita offering are largely made up of PSN games rather than full retail games and given what we have seen so far with PS+ on PS4 it looks the same way, one retail title (Albeit a PS+ edition, whatever the hell that means) and three PSN games.

Also as Plus is a good way to combat the used market (At least for me personally, I have bought a lot less used games since joining +) I think it will be around for a while on PS3. Also I doubt publisher will care much about their game been offered to PS3 users, they will get money from the poor gamers who haven't upgraded to PS4, gamers who are likely to heavily buy used games because they are cheap.

I can see PS+ been support on PS3 for at least 2years, possible longer.
Agreed, I suspect it will remain active until 2017 as Sony has said the PS3 will be supported at least until then and I think the Playstation Network has become and intrinsic part of the PS3 eco system. Of course, it might dwindle a bit towards the end and I should think the balance will gradually shift to the PS4 and Vita and away from PS3, but I like to think there will still be a couple more good years with games of a similar standard to what we have seen in the last year or two.

Would be nice to see Sony mine their rich back catalogue of games a bit more mind, most of the PS+ games seem to be pretty recent stuff (last year or so) why not a few select titles from further back too? The PS3 has been around since 2006, why not capitalise on that rich catalogue of games?

Regarding the latest set of releases on PS+, has anyone had problems installing Uncharted 3? I have tried twice now and it just isn't appearing in my games list. After the download / install has completed it pops up a message saying "2D movies sucessfully installed" but doesn't mention the actual game and when I look at my games list it isn't there.

I know when I set the download off it has three items to download/install for Uncharted 3, so suspect maybe one of them has failed? Have to admit I didn't watch it download and install as it takes so long.

Another thing, is there a way to defragment the PS3 HDD? as I am finding installs are getting very slow on large games, to the extent I can actually download them faster than I can install them sometimes!

How much space do you have left on your hard drive? Need space for the download, to unpack it and install it. Maybe there isn't enough left?

I have a friend whos Uncharted download simply vanished.

I've got 59GB free on a 750GB HDD (these full game downloads really eat space) which I really thought should be enough, though I know Uncharted 3 is said to be a huge game...

This thread needs to be rebooted, I think pretty much most of us will be YES now seeing as it's required for PS4 Online Play.

Steven, you need to install the free multiplayer version, this then creates a game icon and you run the single player through this.

I'm a new ps3 owner and it took me 3 attempts to download and then wonder where the game was.

For uncharted 3 apparently you have to also get the free multiplayer for it all to work.

Thanks, i'll do that. that's my only significant gripe with PS+, sometimes where one file depends on another being installed, it isn't always made entirely clear, especially for new users.

Have had similar issues with full game unlocks in the past too where you have to download the demo and then the unlock and if you just download the unlock you get nothing in games list, they should just bundle the unlock with all the associated files it needs to make it work (I believe they do this mostly/more now but wasn't always the case).

I have downloaded the multiplayer and the single player but keep getting a message when I try to play the campaign "install 2D movie pack", did you get this?

I tried to find it in the store but I didn't see it.

Apparently you need the 2d pack but not the 3d pack.

Seems mental

I think it comes as part of the "uncharted single player" as when I downloaded that I got the message "2D movies installed successfully" (or similar), Would also imagine you would download / install that after downloading the free multiplayer as it seems that is the base onto which the single player gets added when you download it.

All a bit puzzling though as I didn't even think the uncharted series was multiplayer in the first place. unless it is something they just launched.

Yeah you have to download the single player, multiplayer (which was a nightmare to find), and the 2D movies. All in all about 25GB.

It's been around since Uncharted 2, where IMO it was done MUCH better, Uncharted 2 MP was more arcade like and fair and really, MORE FUN! Me and a few mates had a blast playing Uncharted 2 MP where as Uncharted 3 MP has switched to a more COD style with loadouts and custom skins and weapon upgrades, etc, etc, blergh, was no where near as good.

When 'bought' the single player element via the online store, it added all of the single player, 2d movies and 3d movies to my download history.

@Serum_Lake
Just caught a glimpse of July's Playstation Plus update. Eyeballs exploded.
Wonder when they'll announce it.

Did anyone have any problems with XCOM? It seemingly downloaded and installed fine, but I've tried to load it up twice and it's frozen my PS3 (250GB Slim) to the point where I have to pull the plug to switch it off.

Had no problems here , try uninstalling it and doing a disk check http://www.ehow.com/how_5909868_fix-...k-corrupt.html , then reinstall it.

Some of the older PS+ stuff I acquired really is taking a long time to download.

I set Vanquish to download yesterday (which was given quite some time ago) and it's still only 77% through!! I think my PS3 fan's gonna burn out!

Heres a question for you all, not really PS + related, but this is a pretty active thread, so hopefully you can help.

Basic question and i feel stupid for not knowing - but i am running out of hard drive space due to PS plus games, and i know that if you download PS Plus stuff and then delete it you can just go back into your download list and download it again (of course as long as you are still a PS+ member), however my hard drive is cluttered up by the Sly trilogy downloads and i was wondering if i delete them, seeing as i've paid for them, can i redownload them in the future? when i upgrade to PS4 i intend to give my PS3 to my son and he would love to play them, but i really need the HD space for now

Thanks all
