You dont even need to fully download them. You can start it downloading then cancel it. So long as its in your download history, its yours

Same here duncan. I only subbed yesterday.
Just bare in mind that games are massive. Lbp karting is 14gb. You will quickly fill any space u have plus they take a while to download...and yes 39.99 unless you catch them when a deal is on or get psn vouchers on the cheap

Whats Ninja Gaiden like? I like most of the console games so want it

Have you played Soul Sacrifice at all? That looks really good but I don't wanna pay that especially when it'll probably be on Plus in about 6 months lol
Ninja Gaiden is just same as when Sigma was released on PS3, with a few added touch/rear touch additions

and i bunch of new side missions (at least i think they are new never did that much on the original sigma, it was to hard at the time)

And no i haven't but i'll wait for it to end up on plus as well

Also worth noting that a 14gb download requires 28gb space to install This can be a real pain in the ass if your low on disc space. Basically you need double space to do the install so if you have a clear a load of space and queue up a bunch of games its often worthwhile letting the largest game download and install first.

The Wifi on the PS3 seems rubbish, when people complain about PSN speed they are more often than not using wireless. Luckily it seem good enough to play online but downloading can be sluggish.

You don't have to download at all, if you go onto the website and purchase the game, it is then in your list without ever downloading them, I believe.

It is a trick I learnt on this forum

gillyallen if the distance between your router + PS3 is quite long and the cable is a pain, I'd definitely recommend investing in some homeplugs. £40 for a set of TP-Links, they allow you to create a 'wired' connection by using your home's electrical circuits. Just plug into a socket, attach the ethernet cable, and plug the other one into another socket and do the same thing.

Like you I was getting awful wi-fi speeds for downloading from PSN, even on fibre-optic it was atrocious, but now it's great

Don't they have to be on the same ring main though? So they don't work if for example you have router downstairs and the wireless device upstairs on a different ring main?

I was told this when I was looking for a wifi extender.

Works fine on different ring circuits as long as they are on the same phase, I have one plugged into the router downstairs and a plug in every bedroom upstairs (both a different ring circuit).

Yeah might eventually invest in them.

ROuter is actually only about 14 feet away from ps3. In line of sight and same room.

DO u all add every single theme and avatar too to your history or just the main games?

I only grab the themes and avatars I like.

I tend to add what I feel has 'value' if it appears on Plus. I don't really change my theme that often and I still have the same Avatar I picked when I first set up my PSN account so not much point clogging up my download list with too many of those.

Just the games for me, I'm still using a Heavy Rain theme I bought years ago.

When I replaced my PS3 that was the first thing I put back on it

I change between the Clouds and Space dynamic themes occasionally. I find many of the themes make reading the XMB difficult

Sigh, you have been doing it wrong.....

You're supposed to sit there, and say "PS3, play game" then "PS3, watch basketball".

The writing is irrelevant.

Did anyone play Kingdoms of Amalur? I've heard that it was quite a good game and was wondering people's thoughts on it. I'm currently going through Farcry 3 at the moment but want something ready for when it's finished.
