2GB update when you start Need for Speed MW, What the hell where they patching

Got 100mb broadband, been downloading need for speed (4.4 gig) since 18:00 hours.

Also, for anyone that's not looked at the store yet, NFS:Most Wanted is showing as 'available at this price' (i.e. free) only from 31st July to 7th August. (as are all the dlc discounts)

I don't remember seeing anything about it only being available for a week (I could be wrong, I may just have missed it I suppose), but either way get it in your download list this week or you may lose out.

Are there dlc most wanted discounts.? Must look.

Yeah, there are discounts on some of the dlc, but not all.

I think it's just the usual 10% for PS+ subscribers, not great but I don't see how we can complain if we're getting the main game for free!

It really annoys me when a game build isn't updated to include the patch.

Its a content patch from what I remember, I think it adds the DLC cars (So you can race them online), it also includes some bonus billboards to complete.

I would be happy if the patch was just a separate download as part of the package so I could queue it up and background download it and so PS+ auto update could install and update the game in one go. I find it really annoying when I download a PSN game only to have the patch basically redownload the full patched version again, cant they just put that version on the store.

Showing as £29.99 now when I search for it and not even in the plus games list. Probably wouldn't have played it much as I'm not into Basket Ball games but missing a sweet freebie is still real annoying.

Would have been a real bonus for sports fans too as I've noticed PS Plus does seem real light on sports content.

But surely they would realise their mistake and just DRM the game so it's not playable.

They could do that but I doubt they will. Its probably a lot less hassle to just pay the developer for the extra downloads and let those lucky enough to add it keep the game.

I couldn't find it last night at 22:30, so a little peeved that it was still available until this morning.

Also I am having problems trying to get Need for Speed - it keeps saying it is unavailable.

Downloaded NFS for the PS3 and LOTR fr the Vita, that should keep me going for a while

When did you download them? Because it is still saying NFS is unavailable on PSN and the Internet website version.

I 'bought' mine on Wednesday evening and downloaded it Thursday morning.

When I look on the Web Store it says Unavailable for NFS

I purchased it and then after I'd done so it changed to Unavailable, but it is in my download list.

I grabbed Need for speed, Mafia 2 (or is it 3?) and Specials ops yesterday afternoon with no probs?

Any word if its an error on sonys part?

Thank you this was the problem - my console glitched when I tried to download NFS so I thought it failed to purchase it - because it wasn't downloading. However I just checked my download list and it is there ready to download.

It is strange how the other games say purchased and this one says unavailable though - it does cause confusion.
