I still got the £22 on my psn account from the xperia privelege app on my xperia sp so what i'll probably do is just add the aditional £17.99 to my account and renew in a way then 365 subscription has only cost me £17.99
Heard a rumour that it'll be discounted on the store to £29.99 again in September.

I think that could happen tbh then it'll time it just before ps4s rumoured launch.

Sony have a new PS+ YouTube advert (that's just been taken down on the PlayStation channel)

Free 90 days after you buy a year is happening again, maybe after Gamescom?

Its needed for online play on PS4

I hope it works just like the Vita content. And it would encourage people to move up to PS4. If in a year your looking to move on to next gen and have added all PS4 PS+ content it makes the PS4 look a much cheaper option than Xbox 1 as you already have a collect of games for the PS4.

Ah right, thanks for that HB, so it's the same as needing 'gold' for xbx 360. Do u still get the free games though ?.

Its basically the same situation as 360 except PS+ wont be needed for free to play games or MMO type online games.

Yes it looks like you will still get free games. Drive Club is available on PS+ for PS4 from day one. But it is a special cut down PS+ version so we will have to wait and see if this is a new trend or just something for a launch game. There will be a couple of PSN games for free on PS4 PS+ around launch as well.

On one hand, I think that's highly unlikely. I imagine PSVita content is only available on the PS3 store because of the ability to use your PS3 as a storage device.

However, there is a glimmer of hope. There is a chance that activating PS4 content COULD be possible using the PlayStation App on your phone or the online SEN store, depending on how they set it up.

ok thanks for clearing that up HB. I wonder if MS plan to do similar with the XB one (games for gold I mean) just like they're doing for the 360 at the mo.

I bought into Psn+ about 6 or 7 months ago (don't use my Ps3 much though) but it only cost me £10 for 12 months lol. How did I get it for that price u may be asking, well here's how, I bought Resident evil 4 and Code X and 24 hours after i'd bought them, the £ was returned back to my online wallet for some reason and Psn+ was on special offer at the time, £29.99 so I bought into it lol. result. I still have no idea why the £ was returned though, as I still have the games and they work fine.

I am.

PS+ was awful when it first started, but now I wouldn't be without it.

I am another No vote now on Plus.

Maybe its time to close this thread and open another one with a new poll to see where the numbers stand since the IGC launched. I think that has drawn a lot of new users to the service.

Another no voter who now has the service

I agree that a new thread should be created to see how it compares.

Having just joined PS+, was going to wait till the PS4 all I can say it's a fantastic service,so good in fact I'm keeping my PS3 for a while after the PS4 launches, just got to try and work out how to run both consoles on my current AV setup.

Bought the Infamous bundle at the week end to play it before 2nd Sons lands, all 3 games for £13.99 bargain.

I've only just realised I've not yet voted on this!

I was an early adopter and joined a couple of months after release. To be honest, at the beginning PSN+ wasn't particularly good, being largely Minis or PS1 titles with the occasional good title thrown in. However even then I thought it was reasonable value considering I was (and still am) a very casual gamer.

However PSN+ has gone from strength to strength. I've not bought a PS3 game in god knows how long because PSN+ gives me plenty to play and I have so many unfinished or un-played games to get through. That's not even considering the Vita games I've downloaded ready if I get a Vita one day.

Once I get my PS4 I'm assuming that initially PSN+ wont offer me much. I don't really play online so that's not an issue. But I'll still have my back catalogue of PS3 games and eventually the PS4 games will come on line.

This is my worry. I know a few people who don't have PS+ but said they will be getting it for the PS4, that it's not a problem for them considering how many people brag about the great selection of games that are offered.

But I don't see Sony being able to offer many for the first year or so.

The cut down version of Drive Club say to me that this will be a problem as well. They want to try to offer good content but its will be hard to offer content of the same quality as PS3 in the first 12months.

PS3 gives good content because they are great games that are 8-12+ months old. PS4 will not have any content like that for 8-12months. I think the cut down Drive Club is the compromise they have found to give something big away early. I hope cut down versions don't become a trend TBH as it could mean poorer content in the future for PS+ on PS4.
