Finally got around to downloading the back log of games.

Downloads Payday: The Heist > Waits for it to install > finds out there's a 3gb update! > Cancels.

Waits for NFS:MW to download > waits for it to install (seemed like forever!) > finds out it needs a 2gb update! > cancels

*turns off ps3*

Why all the messing on I just wanna play!!

Again, as explained a thousand times before, they HAVE to keep the bare bones version on the server so it remains compatible with everyone, that's just the way things are, granted, Sony could work a way in so it will download the latest patch during the first install, I think they missed the trick there, but either way, you will always download barebones and THEN the patches, same goes for the Xbox 360, and most likely the Xbone and PS4.

Sorry if this is a really silly question, but humour me! If I download the free PS+ Vita games from my PS+ account to my PS3 now and then delete them, would they still be available on my download list at the Playstation Store for future download to a Vita?

It's just that I'm seriously considering getting a Vita maybe early next year to go with the PS4, but I keep seeing free Vita games I'd like on PS+. If the above is possible, then I could build myself a nice wee stash of Vita games in advance of getting it.

Cheers!

you don't even need to download it at all, as long as the game is on your download list you can access it

you can just start the download and then cancel it straight away

I just wish you could queue up the patch at the same time as the game. It is really annoying to queue up a load of content so it gets installed during the PS+ auto update only to find all that content needs patching when you come to play it.

This is particularly annoying for me as I have a period of traffic management in the afternoons so I schedule my downloads outside that window. Which can mean I schedule a download one day, let PS+ download and install the next morning, then come to play the game later that day only to find a patch later than my limit so I have to wait for PS+ to grab that the next morning before I can finally play the game.

It shouldn't be too hard to allow patches to queue up when you buy a game.

Hopefully things will be better with PS4.

Thank you, thomas2400 and grps3. That's brilliant! It makes the PS+ subscription even more worthwhile for me!

Can anyone confirm if the 90 days free when you buy 12 months PS+ is active yet?, I saw a tile in the store promoting it but when I selected the actual 1 year membership it didn't seem to make any mention about the 90 days extra, don't want to get it to find I just end up with the standard 12 months.

If I do get it that will put my PS plus membership up to 2017! I am a sucker for the offers, every time they have a offer on I end up getting another year. It's going to make a PS4 purchase at some point mandatory as I imagine PS3 support will be very weak by 2017.

The offer is active, I renewed this morning. The store really doesn't make it clear when purchasing that you're actually getting your extra 90days.

I am wondering if Sony will do some special offers around the launch of PS4 so if I was in your position I think I might wait until the next offer on PS+ to extend my subscription.

picked up the 90 day offer yesterday so I am covered until april 2015.
still would like confirmation of how the online play will work for ps4s with multiple IDs on. I did hope this would be clear by now.

Really looking forward to Stealth inc next month,on the vita more than ps3. Little Kings Story is a great RPG on the vita too (rented it a while back be great to finish it.)
I have AC3 and jak and daxter. J&D is brilliant.

The early PS4 content is great. Resogun looks awesome and Driveclub would have been day 1 for me too.

if i pick up the 90 day offer, do i have to activate it within a certain time?

im getting the PS4 at launch and wouldn't want to use it before then, and would rather register my PS+ on November 29.

It activates as soon as you buy it, it automatically gets added onto your account from the date of purchase.

You won't be disapointed, Steath Inc is great on the Vita.

Thanks - it does look awesome, hard but awesome! My finger was hovering over the "buy now" button last week.

Between this and Spelunky, this will my best week for Vita yet!

This months PS+ content is available through the search function now...

At the moment it looks like you get the Vita version of J&D when you add the PS3 version. Both versions have 'FREE' in yellow writing and after I had purchased the PS3 version the Vita version had a 'download' option.

Thanks for that! You can also 'buy' the individual versions on the Vita if you do not want to whole 3GB trilogy. The first game is only 500mb.

Not sure whether to just bite the bullet in getting a 32GB card. I've got a 16GB card and just move around games once I've completed them. It would be great to have them all on my card but I don't know if it's worth £40.

You can download them individually.

Jak 1: 450MB
Jak 2: 1.3GB
Jak 3: 1.3GB

Just delete them (move back to PS3) when you've finished them. Although the frame rate is supposed to be awful on the vita version - sub 30FPS.

It won't let me add the vita version to basket.

Update: It's working now.
