Good evening.

Im looking at getting a ps4 for my kids. Now I know with Xbox Live on the XBone they offer the 'family' profile type membership where both my kids can have a seperate Id (very important with teenagers). My question is does PS+ offer this or something similar?

Thanks in advance

It really depends on which features you are after for this family profile.

Kids on PSN have a child account, where you can control what they are allowed to, such as play online etc. On PS4 you need a + account for online game play, but not just to play games from disk or the psn store.

On xbox live both would be able to have their own profile but attached to one xbox live subscription although as i understand it only 1 can play at a time. This caused major rows on 360 as it meant sharing a profile which is a swear word for my kids. Does ps+ offer this?

What do you mean by "1 can play at a time"? on 2 machines or 2 pads on the same game?

That would come down to the game.

Ah i see what you mean. If and only if the game supports it then yes you can have multiple gamers logged in on PS4, but that is the same smallprint as on 360 from what i remember. The game had to support it, not many did.

with ps4, you can have multiple accounts, just like on the xbox. As long as one of those accounts on the ps4 has a ps+ sub, then all user accounts have access to the ps+content. so they would both be able to play the free ps+ games as long as the account with the ps+ sub is kept on the console.

Ooo interesting. Hope I can add ps4 content to my account for picking up whenever I get a ps4
Unfortunately from a comment on the blog it looks like we can't do this, the PS4 games will only be available on the PS4 store. Pretty gutted about this

Start of video on youtube about this months content from Sony says those of us without a ps4 can jump onto the online store and add to our list.

Edit: Picked you up wrong thought you meant ps+ content without actually having a ps4.

Entering PS Plus:
29th November: RESOGUN
29th November: Contrast
27th November: Grid 2
27th November: Guacamelee! (Cross Buy)
27th November: Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed
27th November: Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories
Considering this will most likely be the Christmas update (unless January's comes out by Christmas), it's a little bit 'meh' really. Already got Sonic and All Stars on 360, would have actually liked to play GTA LCS as it's one of the few GTA games I have never played...but Vita only , which I don't have...

At least there is Grid 2 and those 2 PS4 games. However, regarding PS4, wasn't there supposed to be more? E.g. the updated versions of Flower, Escape Plan and think there was another one too or is that not part of the instant games collection?

Who knows maybe they will do a bit more when the PS4 launches? Surely, they would have some sort of celebration of such a major event but if this is all there is, it's a little bit disappointing, unless we are just too spoiled with so many months of great content....

Not IGC, the announcement about that was that they would be released on PS4 and be cross-buy, so if you already bought on PS3 or Vita you'll get them free on PS4.

No that is what I meant. Comment on the blog today:
Q: I won’t be buying a ps4 until next year. Can I add the ps4 games to my download list so they can be downloaded once I own a ps4?

A: No PS4 games will only show up on the PS4 Store

I dont get why theyd update the Web store to promote being able to download direct to your console only for them to omit ps4 from it. Though on it it does only show ps3 anf vita at this time.
I guess they could link it more to your psn and know if you've a ps4 or not.

I get that they've said this though mojo. Disappointed

Me too Allan, I hope it's a misunderstanding and actually you can pick them up from the SEN website like we do for PS3 and Vita

Yeah must be a misunderstanding because i'm sure the "December plus update" video in the post states you can.

Well that seriously sucks if it turns out we cannot add PS4 games to our list without a PS4

Hopefully someone has got their wires crossed. It always seemed a good idea letting people download the VITA game as it sort of ties you to the machine before you even buy it. With the lack of Media server, MP3 and now talk of not been able to add PS4 games on PS+ Sony are just making it as easy as possible for people to jump ship during the console transition

Good news.

Finally got started on Remember Me yesterday and so far it seem reasonably good. The story is interesting and the style of the game is nice but as with all games built on Unreal it feels very samey.

Have you noticed how bad the input lag is on that game?

It's a fairly enjoyable game though. An easy Platinum too.

I noticed some input lag and the whole control system is pretty bad all round. The more I play it the more I dislike it. The story is an interesting idea and the memory remixing is also nice. But the rest is just feels like your run of the mill action game, it feels like it has cut and paste a lot from other games, the fighting reminds me of Batman AA and Enslaved, level layouts remind me a bit of Spec Ops The Line and the general feel has a Dishonored and Bioshock feel at times. It just feels like a mish mash of other games which is a shame as the underlying story and idea of the game is pretty good

Glad to hear the Platinum is easy, at least that's something.

Coming of the back of GTA5 probably isn't help much either.

What I noticed was that a standard attack was one button press but the special attack was two button presses.

For example I mainly use the the three triangle combo. I have the second one speeding up the pressen cooldown and the third to replenish health. I find for the second and third ones I have to press the triangle twice for it to work.

My only gripe is the invisible enemies who are poor and just annoying. The rest of the game is fun.
