Anyone been playing the don't starve game ? Started the download but don't have any high expectations so I'm not disappointed.

Did a few hours of Don't starve this afternoon, lasted 8 days before I ran out of wood for the fire. Died just after I had found some sort of camp with a fridge, chest, science machine and other goodies.
I'm intrigued to play it more to see what all the fuss is about!

What happens when you die, just start all over again?

Wtf....this is total bollocks. Admittedly haven't a clue what I'm doing in don't starve but cant see this taking up space on my ps4 for much longer.
Any tips to make it enjoyable ?

Thanks. I think it's just not for me. I'll see what kids think before I delete it. They like minecraft so maybe something similar. To be honest this is the type of game I pictured all pc players playing before I realised they could play "blockbuster" games too. Just this point n click thing. Its not what I'd consider a console game but hope others like it. Now I need to wait a full month for the next plus game. I guess 2 out of 3 for me have been good.

Played Don't Starve for a few hours, I must admit it was kind of enjoyable although I died due to not being able to sleep as I haven't worked out how you do that yet.

I did get a small chest like the luggage from disk world that followed me around which was kinda neat.

I think it's gonna be a bit marmite this game.
Going to give it a few more hrs later to see if I can "get it".
I've tried other similar games and they just didn't hold my attention for long. Like junk jack.

I dont think you have to sleep, you just need to keep a fire going during the dark phase of the night. I'm getting into it now and keep going back for more.

Borderlands 2 - so disappointing.

Running out of ammo before the first boss fight and nowhere to get anymore, had to beat him to death which took a while.

Currently stuck on a bit which tells you to "use the elevator" but doesn't tell you where it is and there aren't even any hints.

Interesting premise for a game but it can't do the simple things right that I expect from an FPS. Deleted.

Couldn't you just go back to a store and buy more ammo or smash some rocks and pick up ammo? did you do all the side missions first before going after the boss? if you didn't then the enemies would be a higher level than you meaning you'd run out of bullets quicker

As for not being able to find the switch and then deleting the game, really? the game didn't give you all of the answers instantly so you got rid, how do you play games before last gen when they didn't constantly have an objective marker on the screen

I guess that's a side effect of a service like PlayStation Plus. Games are so easy to come by that they become "disposable" and easy to give up on.

Had they spent £40 on it there's a good chance they would have persevered with it.

When you think no matter how fast their internet is they spent longer downloading it than playing it, it becomes worse

Im the same way with don't starve. I just don't fancy it at all. It probably does get addictive when it all clicks into place. I just feel its not what I bought a ps4 for.

It is a fantastic game

Early days for PS4, but another poop game.

Resogun the only decent one so far.

The trouble is ps+ came late on to ps3 so there was a huge catalogue to bargain over and we got some major blockbusters.
Obviously there isn't even a lot out just now for ps4 and so is hard to meet that standard.
The only semi big title I think they could possibly give would be putty squad and by all accounts that's a bit meh too.
Probably later in the year we'll see knack and or killzone, but up till then I think we're stuck with indie games.
Resogun I'll keep forever. Contrast I did enjoy. .glad I played it through. Dont starve...I just detest.

It's pretty subjective, out of the three ps+ games Resogun was my least favourite, with contrast being my fav.

This is the same for me. I didn't like Resogun because I didn't like Space Invaders as a kid and it's just a pretty version of that with a few more directions but I get why people like it. Contrast is brilliant, I've only played the first chapter because of other games being played but the story so far is awesome and I like the idea of using the shadows to walk all over the place. I played this Don't Starve last night, not for very long, but I didn't really like it. I'll give it another go soon as I didn't give it long enough but first impressions weren't good. Everyone is different though and my girlfriend seemed to enjoy it. My friend was hoping for Knack to come on plus but I said to him, I can't see them giving that away for a while, not while they can charge £50 for it in shops or on the store. I am hoping for some better quality of games soon but with the games I have and the amount of PS3 games I have or are coming out soon (including Plus games) I'm going to be kept busy for a while.

On an off topic side note - I can't wait for Tomb Raider on next gen, never played it on PS3 but getting it on PS4 and am really looking forward to it!

You don't need to sleep but I believe sleep does help with your sanity.

Have you tried eating evil flowers yet? That's fun, but not to be recommend unless you can improve your sanity afterwards. I believe jumping into worm holes also affects your sanity.

I've dabbled in the game and lasted 6 days so far. It's got loads of depth that I've not even scratched the surface of. Willow is a fun character to play with if you like pyromaniacs

Id give that a play through. Graphically looks quite good
