Why is the Default not set up as 'Amorphic'.. seems sensible to me

Stan
Edit.. Or should that be 'Anamorphic'?

I didn't realise Scouse was a foreign language.

It was a quiet day and It would NOT surprise me MOB if it were so.. as one can get a degree in 'Coronation Street Studies' these days. and
After 50 years away.. when I do visit the Pool and hear some reasonably well educated TU scouser say.."Prevarication"..
it seems foreign to my adopted Southern speak
I was playing with the MENU and noticed an in-built interaction between ..'Type of TV screen' and .'Display'..
which was more the puzzling the more i interacted with the controls..
THere was a disturbing lack of reciprocality in the seemingly 'Default' change over outputs..
When making the setting.."4:3 TV"..the 'Display' goes to 'Auto' ...although this can then be changed to read to the other 4 conditions but obviously not 'Anamorphic'..However..It ALWAYS goes to AUTO!
When making the 'TV' 16:9 the 'Display then ' DEFAULT Switches' to a condition seemingly linked to a previous setting..
which i found strange ..It is then that Anamorphic showed up and i wondered ..
Would this be right for my old fashioned Plasma?
And
How many Set owners have ever dreamt of setting this condition?
And
Watsit Meen?
Hence the original abbreviated input..
Needles to say nowt found in the Index.
