toshiba 32zp38 picture problems?

i have just replaced my old 28"sony with a new 32" toshiba with lots
of picture settings etc.i have this hooked up to my sky+ box via scart.
my picture now seems worse than the old sony,eg when watching
fairly fast moving pictures the screen seems to "pixelate/breakup"for
a few seconds. i am now noticing it more and more, and this is very annoying.i have tried all the various settings like,dnr,100hz,active,but
with the same results.is there something obvious that i'm not doing,or is it just more noticable because of the bigger screen?
any ideas?

All these gizmos are to improve analogue reception,

When watching digital ie Sky they can make things worse.

Try turning all picture enhancements off.

i tried changing the picture mode and adjusted the contrast etc.this has made it a lot better, but i'm still not sure about watching the football though.is ther supposed to be any difference between natural and active?if there is i can't see it.i've looked around and a few people seem to say the same thing.what is it supposed to do anyway?

Having seen tons of these sets while doing my job working for a repair company, the picture quality is terrible if you used to watching a 50hz set.Nearly all 100hz sets produce digital artifacts, some are worse than others (pixel plus phillips, toshiba), and some are just bearable.
The only reason to get a 100hz set is if you suffer from headaches from the flickering of a 50 hz set, which most people don't.
50hz is better than 100hz with the current broadcasting standards, the same as dvd is better than vcd and pal is better than ntsc, although someone will try to convince themself otherwise.

Watching live football is where you'll notice it most - broadcasters seem to use a fairly low bitrate ...apparently ITV are the worst offenders.

yeah cyberdog,i used to notice that on my old sony on itv,i'm thinking of sending the tosh back now,i'm fed up with forever having to change the settings for every different type of program!i don't know whether to get the pink line down the side of my sony's picture repaired(if possible)or buy a "normal" widescreen telly.is it just the tosh's that are like this or are all of these fancy telly's with all the gizmos the same?or is it that the telly pictures are now so good that they are showing the flaws in uk broadcasts?
