JLS - "The Club is Not Alive"
I still can't believe how bad this song is, and radio stations just keep on hammering it non stop throughout the day, it's an embarassment.
If this is their first single from the 2nd album, the rest of their second album must be complete **** |

I can empathise with your post.
They should have gone in a more R&B direction like "End of the Road". Did they want to be famous or create great music? |

It's like Tinie Tempah wrote a song and a producer came in and got faux R'n'b (N Dubz flavour) cheesy euro pop and a disney musical and meshed it all together, auto tuned it and put it through a polliphonic ringtone vocoder and ta da! You have ''The Club Is Not Alivvveee with the Sound of Our Shite Music ...Who's those Boys In the Spotlight Oooh Because They Turn Me Off''.

[imo] It's not quality material, but it will definatly sell. Maybe it will finish #5 in charts overall in the UK. Which will definatly be its threshold Their singing style in that song: Sounds like their were singing through a vuvuzeala. "The Club is Alive at the sound of musssco" |

They lack identity, and most possibly they don't even know what direction their going into themselfs.

Considering the radios are meant to be battering it I can honestly say that I don't think I've even heard this song yet

Why can't we have one big thread for all the "I hate (random song) threads" that people feel like starting up. I know you could apply the same logic to the threads people start about songs they like. But they are positive and should therefore be encouraged.
There's plenty of songs I don't like, but I can never be bothered to make the effort to start a thread about any of them. I really don't see the point. Finally for the record, I think the new JLS song is shit. |

I agree that this song is garbage but the most disappointing thing is that even though I know it's garbage, it'll still sell well. Definitely doesn't deserve to, though.

It's awful. I wish it would be the end of them because of how bad it is, but I can see people liking it. Garbage!

Awful song, who told them that sampling The Sound of Music was a good idea? I laughed when they performed it on Britain's Got Talent (I listened to a few minutes and then reached for the mute button)

Sounds dated as hell, like something some random r&b/pop boyband would bring out 10 years ago.

I like the song but the auto tune makes me hate it a bit
But they are working with US producers and the majority of urban males usually rely on auto tune. Usher and Jason Derulo to name a few. Usher never used to though which is why i have lost respect for him. |

Agreed, I like it too but seriously the miming reaches a point where you're like ''WTF are you guys playing at?''
![]() ![]() To be fair though, I avoid watching them if I can (as pretty as JB, Aston and Orische are (not sure if I've spelt his name right)), their miming is terrible..which, although is the comedy element, it's something of a novelty
