Phones4u a joke

Went in my local phones4u store yesterday to get a laptop broadband deal. As i'm with Orange for my mobile phone anyway Orange told phones4u that they'll be more than happy to let me have an additional line and i can have a laptop deal so long as i pay £100 deposit to which i paid. Anyway to cut a long story short the sales assistant who was serving me made several phonecalls once i paid the deposit and contacted Orange who connected the dongle. Then he called over the store manager as there was a problem of some sort. To which i was very understanding about as these things do happen. Anyway after a hour and half of phonecalls the manager told me that phones4u head office declined me. I was annoyed to say the least as Orange themselves had said yes. So the sales assistant handed me over to Carphone warehouse he took me around to the store which i thought was odd. However because it was now showing i had an additional line i was told to wait for 6 months or so. Phones4u said they'd cancelled the dongle and i had to phone Orange to which i did and Orange told me that phones4u had cut off the call as the order was being finalised and it now shows i have a 2nd line but i can by all means have the laptop once this line is cancelled on their system.

Sorry for the long droning post but has anyone else had problems with Phones4u i for 1 will never use those clowns again.

I know it's no good saying it now. But it's always worth using network stores rather than third party shops. Network shop staff are trained to deal with account issues as well as sell, and so tend to take care when making connections because they are held accountable.

Yeah ditto the above really. Don't use P4U again! Lesson learned... put it down to experience!
