when everything was getting sucked in, surely the tardis should of got sucked in too?

Everything got sucked in pretty much the same place it had exited the void from.

All the Daleks were sucked back in the main breech yet none of the Cybermen were. They went back through the cracks around the World.

The Doctor and Rose were right next to the breech (plus they had used the teleporters to travel back and forth) which is why they were being sucked in.

The TARDIS had arrived back through the Void into Jackie's flat so would have had to go back that way.

As it was in the Torchwood basement it was impossible for it to be dragged back to Jackies flat.

Either that or it's immune to the Pull of the Void as when the Time Lords were around travel between Universes (presumably in TARDISes) was possible.

The second theory is the correct one, I think. TARDISes would not be affected by the pull of the void.

By all rights, it should have been affected. But since the Doctor always leaves the brakes on....

I kind of assumed it was only the dangerous way the Daleks, Cybermen and parallel world Torchwood travelled through the cracks that got you soaked in Void Stuff (tm).

Travelling via the Tardis keeps your clothes nice and fresh

No, because Rose was covered in "void stuff" before she went through. Indeed, that's why The Doctor said she had to go -- because he couldn't guarantee she wouldn't be pulled in.

I think the Doctor should have run Rose downstairs into the TARDIS with Jackie and her family. I know it was a long way down but as Jake said 'You can always use the lift'.

That line made no sense. It contradicted Underworld part one (1977) in which the Minyans computer identifies the sound as being that of the dematerialisation of a TARDIS. Unless they all 'leave the brakes on', it's total bollocks.

Or Underworld part one was complete bollocks. Why take one as gospel over the other?

Ummm, the brakes just cause the noise to reverberate inwards?
