I have been looking at my desire tonight and just wanted to check ive got the most up to date updates on my phone.

I have got

Firmware Version
2.1-update 1

Build number
1.15.405.4 CL 155070

Software number
1.15.405.4

I just wanted to check as im sure ive seen somewhere that mine are old ones.

I am on Orange and with a unlocked phone.

Also does anyone have any more news on when The 2.2 update is coming?

There has been a newer update released, 1.21. I have it on my Debranded, Unlocked Desire. It gives a performance boost (things load even faster), a better Youtube app, and a few other tweaks.

The update you will get depends on if Orange have approved the update or not, sometimes it can take a while.

DEBRANDING WILL INVALIDATE YOUR WARRANTY

As i said, my Desire is debranded and unlocked. I reflashed it with a generic firmware using the goldcard method and haven't had any problems. The only issue for some people has been users who debranded their phone and ran the OTA update without the goldcard installed in their phones had lost the use of wifi.

When i got the phone it was unlocked and didnt have any Orange branding on it anyway so there is nothing on it that is to do with orange apart from the sim card so are they doing a few at a time with the updates?
