I remember seeing an article around the time that Whitney's new album was released. The person in the article had heard the album and was sharing their opinions on the songs and the condition of the voice.

DS: You just told me here on Twitter you have even MORE shocking information..wow. Let us hear.

SS: My date told me that there was a duet recorded with Whitney Houston and her mother, Cissy Houston and Dionne Warwick, but I didn't hear it. He said that a duet with Celine Dion was recorded in 2008, but Celine didn't like how she sounded and Arista shelved it. Note that it was back in 2008 Celine and Whitney did a "demo" that has been shelved but may appear on future Whitney Houston's "Greatest Hits."
So what do you guys think of a possible duet? Personally I believe it did happen, but the bit about Celine not liking her part I find hard to believe.

I don't understand why they would duet in the first place - Whitney's once glorious voice is now a mere kitten compared to Celine's who still has her voice. They would both know this surely?

Maybe Celine was doing Whitney a favour.

Whitney is clearly (and sadly) still not a well lady and Celine is still singing strongly and performing regularly.

Whitney does not perform regularly nor is her voice the amazing powerhouse it once was.

Songs are often shelved and for many reasons.

Their voices just wouldn't match anymore. Celine has looked after her voice and still sounds phenomenal while sadly Whitney's voice has deteriorated beyond repair.

This would have the potential to be the biggest musical car crash since Britney at the VMAs 2007.

Two of the best female vocalists coming together on one song would be EPIC. Not so sure how it would sound, but i do believe with the right track it would be amazing.

Somebody make this happen ASAP!
