I have an iPhone contract with o2, and I want to buy an iPhone 4 PAYG on the launch day.

Only Orange are selling it on PAYG, and the guy I spoke to in the shop said if I go into the shop on launch day I should get one.

will the phone be locked to orange?

if so, will the new jailbreak unlock the phone?

I doubt there is any way to unlock them on the high street yet, I know orange will geive you an unlock code but you have to use the sim for 3 months first plus it will cost you, your best bet is to call into a carphone warehouse store as their (90% of them) PAYG are sim free habdsets and even if the iPhone 4 is not I am sure they will sell them sim free!

I was under the impression the Apple store were selling them offline? Might be a better option if true!
