Hot Chip - One Life Stand
Pendulum - Immersion Marina & The Diamonds - The Family Jewels Goldfrapp - Head First Ke$ha - Animal Gorillaz - Plastic Beach And I'm sure I will add Scissor Sisters' and Kylie's new albums to that list once I've heard them, judging by everything I've heard from them so far. I'm loving Robyn's and Uffie's new albums too, need to listen to them a few more times though. It's a shame album sales have been so abysmal this year, because there has been plenty of good ones released. |

Is Ke$ha's album worth buying? I held off getting but if people think it's good I might buy it.

Ke$ha - Animal (Actually didn't want to get it at first but then she grew on me and I ended up getting it and loved it, worth buying definitely)
Marina - The Family Jewels (Just amazing) Diana - Songs from the tainted cherry tree (Wasn't sure about getting this album at first but again fell in love with it, full of potential hits.) |

Delphic - Acolyte - a great way to start off the year. Acoylte the title track is an 8+ min piece of heaven!
The XX- XX - what an album, very daring thing to do. People will pan them for being too minimalist but it's this minimalism that makes them so great. In the day and age of acts stripping in videos and doing kooky things to get attention. To just see a group brave enough to go down the minimalist route is amazing. Amy Mcdonald - A Curious Thing - I wasn't sure what to expect from Amy it was pretty obvious that she was pretty green when writing her first album. But here she has matured very nicely and has managed to shed that young upstart kind of image. Every song has something that grabs you, even the bonus hidden track (a cover of Springsteen hit Dancing In The Dark) is well deliverd good job Amy. Goldfrapp - Head First - People will criticise this album for not being as inventive as others but for me it was thoroughly enjoyable. If only all pop music was like this. Beach House - Teen Dream - I wasn't sure at first, when I heard a few songs. But decided to take the risk and was well worth it. Archie Bronson Outfit - Coconut - great third album. Lightspeed Champion - Life Is Sweet! Nice To Meet You - Not as brilliant as many people claimed none the less a pretty solid album. MGMT - Congratulations - Brave bolshy follow up to a very successful album. Gorillaz - Plastic Beach - I solely bought this album because Mick Jones and Paul Simonon were featured on it. I also liked the previous Gorillaz album but non the less being a huge Clash fan I just had to get my hands on this. A pleasant album all round probably not as good as the previous, still the whiff of The Clash makes up for it ![]() Laura Marling - I speak because I can - superb and very mature album for still a very young musician. The Courteeners - Falcon - There is a whiff of been there done that about them but still a solid album. The Automatic - Tear The Signs Down - Solid album better than the last but not as great as the first. I still think they miss something without Pennie shouting All in all a good music wise for me. And the party piece is yet to be released with Klaxons new album Surfing The Void, KT Tunstall's third outing, La Roux's sidetracked. I cannae wait! |

My fave songs from each of my top 10 fave albums of 2010 are in the brackets (the albums are in order, from the best down):
Diana Vickers - Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree (N.U.M.B.) Miley Cyrus - Can't Be Tamed (Permanent December) Christina Aguilera - Bionc (You Lost Me) Marina & The Diamonds - Family Jewels (I Am Not A Robot) Glee Vol 3 - Showstoppers (I Dreamed A Dream) Selena Gomez & The Scene - Kiss & Tell (Naturally) Ke$ha - Animal (Tik Tok) Vanessa Amorosi - Hazardous (This Is Who I Am) Robyn - Body Talk Pt. 1 (Dancing On My Own) Glee - Power Of Madonna (Like A Prayer) Funnily enough, the standout tracks on all excpet Miley and DiVi are singles (YLM is Xtina's next single, not WooHoo)
