Well, if you pop along to the Ofcom website and look at the licences page yourself, they're there for all to see, but just in case....

CBS Action HD: http://www.ofcom.org.uk/static/tvlicensing/cs/987.htm

CBS Drama HD: http://www.ofcom.org.uk/static/tvlicensing/cs/1124.htm
Thanks for sharing the info, sounds like they will be a great addition to the line up

CBS Action HD and CBS Drama HD were granted Ofcom licences today so should be launching sometime soon
I wonder whether they'll be FTA, FTV or going behind the paywall?

I see from on screen promos today that ITV + 1 launches (cleverly) on 11 01 11.

Amidst the half a dozen regional versions already confirmed I presume that will not include an ITV + 1 HD??

Surely they could find one slot?

Hmm, if they did make an ITV1+1HD it would be the first...

Yes, it will be interesting. So far the Freesat lot have had a pretty raw deal on the HD front.

Do you think that Sky will launch "Sky Challenge HD" sometime next year (presuming Challenge becomes Sky Challenge)?

Now that's something that I've been thinking. Sky Atlantic and Sky Living have been announced but nothing has been said about Challenge apart from the fact it's staying...

Surly it would receive the same Sky treatment too shortly...?

Why would you want to watch quiz shows in HD, isn't SD good enough?

I'm not so sure...... I just think Challenge is being used as a cheap way of Sky retaining it's valuable Freeview EPG slot. I can't see it receiving much in the way of investment or development.

Why would large screen HD TV owners want to watch anything in SD when it generally looks so awful?

Not sure about that but have seen this on the Film4 website

http://www.film4.com/features/article/hd

10. Will Film4HD be available on Sky and on other broadcast platforms soon?
We would love Film4 HD to be available on Sky and all other broadcast platforms, but at the moment it is only available to Virgin subscribers. We hope this will change in the future, so watch this space.

Someone posted a reply from them just before Christmas and Channel 4 said they have no plans for such a channel.

Very frustrating as the new series of The Good Wife is being moved to More 4 only (no channel 4 repeat apparently) and thus it will be lost to HD viewers.

At least one, possibly two new HD channels to report. When Living rebrands to Sky Living, the sister channel Sky Living It will be getting a HD version and it looks like Sky Living Loves probably will be too.

Listings for it have appeared on the Sky press site. Also this logo:

Doesn't look like Sky Living Loves will be HD, so just Sky Living It to go with Sky Living HD (which appears to be rebranding on Feb 1st, the same day as the channel moves and the Sky Atlantic launch, which makes sense).

I thought the same, even if Channel 4 HD showed the programme in the middle of the night in HD that would help. Don't know about you guys but I find the More4 picture lacks definition compared with some other SD channels.

Chanel 4 deserve to lose viewers to other sources over this.

The Good Wife was utter rubbish in SD on More 4 and was excellent on Channel 4 HD last year.

Frankly this downgrading of an award winning show in 2011 reflects very badly on the channel.

Anyone who complains when/if Sky 'steal' shows from the channel in future (there are always threads) should remember what they are doing here.

And again with Brothers and Sisters later this month it seems.

Any news on the rumoured Animal Planet HD?

Does anyone know when the launch date of Racing UK HD is? (I know it's spring 2011)

It looks like they've just taken the Ofcom licence updates and made a news story. This was discussed in the Freesat forum, in early December.
