4OD HD is available under the Box Sets section!
But nothing catchup, which is what we're talking about.
But yes, there are a few HD series available, not many though.

According to the BBC press release the new BBC HD channels will get a channel swap, with the exception of BBC News HD for some reason.

Regarding BBC News HD, we have decided to delay the swapping with the SD channel until after the Christmas change freeze, ie, January 2014, in order to avoid non-essential technical work that could impact the availability of our existing SD BBC News channel whilst it is covering a major news story.

It's not Mandela per se, but the BBC have a Christmas 'lock down' for technical work that is deemed 'risky' that starts about now and runs until Jan 2nd

The article states its to avoid customers loosing the SD channel during Breaking News.

This is understandable as this is the only channel which is launching that doesn't have a 'closing' time.

The channel swaps for the other channels will probably occur overnight tonight while they are closed.

Its not so much that its being exclused, but they don't want a serious technical failure to happen that would take down the SD channel when they have such major news stories to cover in the next 6 days. So in some ways, i can see why, but they already take a downscale from the Hd playout, so its not going to cause a SD failure by swapping the channels.

Ive just checked and BBC 2 HD in England on 102 with HD swap so all good!

Also there are reports here: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...&postcount=230 and here: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...&postcount=231
that BBC 1 HD in Scotland is now on 101 in Scotland with the HD swap.
I dont know if BBC 1 HD Wales is on 101 in Wales with the HD swap, if someone can confirm that then please do, Im assuming that it is though as the others are now swapped.

Even more importantly (for the BBC) Sky also have a two-week (or so) "lockdown" on EPG changes over Christmas and New Year. While swapping SD/HD BBC News MIGHT have been OK if done today they have obviously decided to leave it until January to be safer.

BoxNation to launch its HD channel on Saturday 8th February 2014.

It "will be available to all BoxNation subscribers on the Sky TV platform at no extra cost, providing they are already HD enabled."

Not HD but 5Later will be launching this month.

I can't think of many channels that are not HD yet that have enough HD content to need the channel.

So MGM HD is also closing meaning another less HD channel.
Wonder if it will be replaced?
