Got to say I'm impressed with Eden HD - fantastic quality, don't normally watch Eden (normally stick to Discovery HD, NatGeo HD anf History HD) but will be doing so now its HD version has arrived

The ITV 2 HD web site says that ITV 3 and 4 HD are coming in November.

Mind you it also says that ITV 2 HD's upscaled content is better than native HD....so, um, you might want to take that November date as just a possibility!

Really don`t understand why there is gonna be an itv3HD and itv4HD. with the programmes that are on it. is there any point. With itv2HD there is a few that will benefit from it. shows like vampire daries, gossip girl and xtra factor. the only thing that will be worth it on itv4HD will be football.

live uefa cup football on ITV4 and there have been a lot of films recently which would benefit.

I must be dipping in at the wrong time as for me Eden HD distinctly lacks lustre compared to other channels/HD programs of a similar nature

Yes, as of 05/10/10 you need the Style & Culture Pack + HD sub to receive them. You need the relevant pack + HD sub to receive any HD channels, except BBC HD, Five HD, ITV1 HD, Five HD and Luxe TV HD. If you are still within your 12 month HD sub, you can phone Sky and ask for them to be reactivated free of charge for the remainder.

as well as Sky News HD, ITV2 HD, ITV3 HD and ITV4 HD (when they start) and E4 HD... they're all "bonus channels" and as long as you have the HD pack you'll get them regardless which SD pack you subscribe to

Interesting
I didn't know that. But it makes sense, as the SD channels are FTA.

Will anyone ever at the Digital Spy Head Quarters ever update this page ( link below)

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/broadcas...-channels.html

It used to be a very useful page and can be an easy reference back-up to this thread on new launches changes and removals.

Can anyone at DS comment please???

Regards

Dan.

There is some news / discussion about a potential solution to the untidyness of the EPG for HD channels - seems to have gone un-noticed, have a look at:

Setanta Sports HD launches in January 2011 (in Ireland obviously!) on UCP cable and on satellite at a later date.

and the bl**dy Dog is too large too centralised and too distracting for comfort, it should be in the corner like the cinemagic one (or better not there at all)

assuming everyone likes football - which they don't

Katie Price in HD? pointless - improve programming, forget HD
