It was confirmed by the BBC that series 6 would not be shown in March 2010 (as originally scheduled), but will be delayed until the summer. This was to avoid a clash with the general election as Sugar was the government's "enterprise champion".
Series Six will be shown starting in November 2010 |

As the tasks have already been recorded and Sugar & Co. know the final two, does this mean that they will have to wait until the November series is over before taking up the new post?
That is how it has always worked in the past - record series in October/November - air in March - apprentice chosen in May at the end of series. |

That is very late and it must be some sort of shortened version. It usually runs for about 12 weeks.

How can it be a shortened version as we have to see each candidate being sacked each week. It wouldn't make sense to miss a few out. Remember - it was recorded months ago.
I checked on the BBC website and there is no mention of when the Apprentice will start, so I would take Nov with a pince of salt. |

No, if it had been the end of June, we would've known that by now.
November sounds very late, though. It doesn't make much sense. |

It's been filmed though, right?
The reason I ask is during the televising of Junior Apprentice, appeals were made for future candidates. Presumably that will be for the next series, i.e 2011?

Wish it was September. That's the most dullest and depressing month of the year (September that is).

Well as they've 12 episodes in the can, the start of September is the most logical. Autumn schedules start then anyway. Leaves enough time to run before the Christmas period. Be surprised if earlier as TV is usually crap over summer.

November is being bandied about (by the media, not the BBC) because last time a coalition government got in, they called a General Election again soon after. As LAS can't be on screen during an election, they think it will be after this. However, there is no sign of the ConDems calling an election, so it can start when they want. My guess is September, as viewing figures are generally down over the summer due to holidays/weather.

They never should of bother with the stupid Junior Kiddy version. It really destroyed such a great format. It was dull and I didn't care who the hell won. It was a massive mistake by BBC to air it.

The Junior version has no effect on the standard version whatsoever- what are you on about?
Besides, do you not have an off button?

According to a tweet from Claire Young, Series 6 starts in October. I'd guess that would need to be the start of the month to avoid running into the Christmas week.
Still if 6th Oct, means final 22nd Dec. Unless he fires a bunch at once. The reason? It's bladddy Christmaaaass! (He knows the words to a Slade song too) |
