Just caught up with TPO and I'm now officially a massive River Song Fan.

I admit I struggled a bit with Song in SitL and FotD. But Alex Kingston has brought so much to the role (brilliant actress) and The Moff has created a really fascinating character; strong, feisty, independent, intelligent, sexy, clever, logical, believable, likeable > ∞

She's been superb this series. A really great edition to all the episodes she's appeared in.

I love River Song, such a fantastic character. The finale would have been a lot duller without her.

I like her too now, I wasnt keen before, but I think she would make a great companion full time.

I'm not so sure. A little bit like Captain Jack if he was full-time, she's too much of a focal character, and would take a lot away from the Doctor.

I would have loved Jack as a full time companion too Perhaps I just like strong characters to travel with Him.

I didn't much like her when she first appeared in the library but now i absolutely love her. Such an interesting character played by a fabulous actress. She also interacts much better with Matt's Doctor than David's.

I liked her the first time around and I still like her. She is sexy (you don't need to wear short skirts for that), independent, feisty, resourceful and a very good female role model.

Yep, very impressed with River Song. She's a brilliant character. I wouldn't like to see her as a full time companion though, because I like the naivity and experiences that normal human beings experience when they travel with the Doctor.

Definitely want to see more of her though.

Not keen. To me, she's a blatant rip-off of Professor Bernice Summerfield from the books and audio adventures, so why they didn't just use Bernice I can't understand. River is a pale imitation.

I absolutely love her. Hope she's in the next series.

I have to say the black wig she had on in the roman camp made Alex bloody foxy.

However I had a feeling when she returned for the TOA two parter they would have expanded on her character and I would love to see her return at a later date.

I didn't like her when she first appeared but this series I've really started to like her character especially last night.

Would prefer River Song as a companion to Amy Pond, who just leaves me cold, sorry

There is just something incredibly alluring about River Song. I find myself really caring about her and her story. Great writing and great acting.

I'm not sure I would want her as a full time companion though. I rather like her dipping in and out.

Moffat's writing for River Song has been really good- so many questions to be answered

Two eps into S6 and not only have I finally found my Pond Love but my Song Love has increased 10 fold!

Alex Kingston plays River to perfection and will become a proper tv sci-fi legend.

I was disappointed with of much of S5 and am not a huge Moff fan, but have to admit he is doing amazing things with S6 so far...

I'm actually warming to Amy a little this series.
She's definitely not as wideeyed-ohsavemedoctor-gonnacheatonmyfiance-iloveme-imsoimportant this time around.

I've loved River since day one. She reminds me of Donna a great deal, love me a bit of fiesty sarcasm.

I love River! Alex is fantastic as her!
