There is a great deal written about Nadia and the fact that apart from Marco... no else seems to have copped on that she is a transexual. Its as if we are waiting for this big secret of hers to become public knowledge. I dont know if its me or not..... but about 1.5 seconds after she first appeared on screen, it was blatently obvious that she was a transexual. I dont know how it could be possible that any of the housemates are in any doubt at all as to her origins. I would imagine it is just something that is absolutely no big deal to them, and therefore they are not even mentioning it. Nadia so far in these first few days is proving to be a really nice person, and I hope for one she stays for several weeks.

Her body shape is very masculine, if you discount her boobs.

If I hadn't been told that she was a transexual I don't think I would've guessed.

The problem being that for 95% of men, that's as far as we get.

But seriously, it's one thing to say that looking from the outside already knowing, and an entirely different thing when you're there in person.

I think maybe a few of them suspect, but what are they to do, ask her? "Hey, excuse me, did you used to be a bloke?" Great way to start off in the house!

I didn't guess when she first came on the screen. I bet not many of the hm's were watching the girls come in and thinking "ooh I wonder which one's the tranny?" heh.

I must say at first I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't been told, but today it has been SO obvious. When she was wearing a halter-neck top and not many clothes, it just looks like she IS a man. Her body shape is masculine and her voice is masculine. I don't know how they can't have noticed apart from Marco

Maybe they have guessed but how do you drop it into a conversation, when you do't want to look a fool in front of millions if you're wrong. To a woman its the ultimate insult!

I think this is going to be one of the things that causes a huge ruck in there.

If someone brings up the subject I get the feeling Nadia might explode.

But if you aren't looking she does sound like a man. It isn't just deep, there's a "maleness" to the voice.

I can't pinpoint it, it's just there.

Well, when I came in on Friday night and my girlfriend pointed at the screen and asked "which one do you think is the transexual?" I singled out Nadia without hesitation.

It's obvious if you've been told that there's a transexual in the house. But the housemates haven't and - if any of them have their suspicions - they're probably keeping quiet about it at this stage. I'd expect the nudges and whispers to become obvious as the week progresses

I can honestly say that when she got out the car the first thing I said was "she's a man". I don't think she's too bad, her adams apple is slightly prominent and the voice is a little bit too husky but is disguised by her accent to a certain extent. The give away is the no waist and the bone structure in her face. She does seem to have quiet small hands for a ex-bloke, haven't had a chance to examine her feet yet, has anyone else?

I like her though I hope she doesn't get voted out because of it

Marco has the womanly-est voice ever. I keep being surprised when I hear his voice and then see who it is. I've mistaken him for one of the girls loads of times.
Nadia's voice, as someone else said, is masked well by her accent, so it's harder to tell.

That would be the final twist, which would make me grin.

Her posture is fairly manly too.

Apparently Nadia's name in her previous life was JORGE... article about her in one of the tabloids today. Apparently her mother was deeply upset when she decided to have the op. Her mother lives on the island of Madeira, Nadia has not been back home in eight years to see them. Apparently Nadia also insisted that every photgraph of her a child (boy) be torn up, and would not allow her mother to keep one.

I found the same when doing live updates, especially when he was speaking off-screen.

I agree about Nadia's figure, it is manly, but then again there are quite a lot of slightly older women who have slimish hips and a thick waist these days, so they may just be thinking she's one of those.

It's possible - I guess with them they've got a lot of things to take in at first, so it might not have quite sunk in yet. I know what you mean about Marco, Myfanwy - I'm doing some of the DJ updates now, and with him speaking, its really hard to pick up!

I think it would have been better if we hadnt been told she was a tranny. then we (the public) would have been in the same state of speculation as the housemates, and it would be more entertaining.

I could see she was Transexual as soon as her face apeared on screen she even talks masculine its so obvious.

They would have to be not only blind but without any insight or life experience. They would also have to be completely unaware of all the rumours about HMs that have surfaced this year and that surface every year, which seems highly unlikely. I'm sure all HMs go in there at least half-expecting one of the other HMs to be transsexual. They are bound to look around their fellow-HMs for a potential transsexual, in which case it would be blatantly obvious that it was Nadia. I can't believe it will come as a shock to anybody when the 'news' is revealed. What will be interesting is if this does not pan out as planned, ie nobody mentions it and none of the men get up to any hanky-panky with Nadia. How long would it take for her to reveal her 'secret', and how would she go about it?
