I think there is only one bedroom this year because they have Nadia. I mean, it's possible the girls could sue Channel 4 after they found out they shared with a transsexual, and if Nadia was put in with the guys that would be a giveaway!

Lol.

But Big Brother never assigned them to specific boys and girls rooms did they? That's just how they seperated themselves.

Don't think so. She's had the operation so is a Woman now. It's been said before, they are desperate for a couple to have sex on BB. Although I suspect the producers would not be happy if was a same sex couple.

Theoretical question for you.

If I lost my manhood in an accident, would I then be regarded as a woman ? I have already man-tits from over consumption of John Smith's smooth.

But on Coronation Street, Hayley had to keep her name as Harold. Do they not have to use guys toilets too ?

When a woman looses her womb for whatever reason, does she become a man?

But to answer you question no! because you would not have your parts formed into a womens parts just because you had lost your parts ! (Yes! I'm trying to do the daytime TV version here!)

As with most thing that many here are try to get a YES/NO answer and have it all black and white - sorry! It just ain't black and white!

Legally speaking can't you only be the sex you are born?
In official documents etc, not legally marry etc as well.

Hey - I'm asking the questions ...

It's the womb bit I'm getting to - Nadia doesn't have one ...

Nor do many women - that does not make them any less of a woman!

But theres only one toilet in the house. No ones asking for the HM's tax details and thats the only reason Hayley in Corrie has to keep her 'man' part of her.

No, I think legally transsexuals can be considered the sex they changed to. I'm not 100% sure though, but recently in Britain transsexualism has been quite a big issue for the governement. For some reason, they've been coming out with a few new laws about it (although again, I'm not really sure, I could be talking crap). Apparently, they were strongly considering issuing transsexuals with new birth certificates to reflect their sex change, but I don't know how this went..

Give me strength. Do you actually believe any of that rubbish you just wrote?

Firstly, do you actually know what a transexual is? Transexuals are people who consider themselves to be of the opposite gender to that of the body they have, so in Nadia's case, she is someone who, although born male, considers themselves to be female. For all intents and purposes, she is now a woman.

Secondly, how is this any different from homosexual people? They've had gay people in the house before when the bedrooms have been seperate. If anything, I'd expect more people to complain at having to share a bedroom with someone of their own sex who happened to be gay, than with a transexual.

I'll go back to one line/glib comments I think ...

and then what about someone who is born with both organs (It does happen!) - The Doctor HAS TO fill in boy or girl on the birth certificate: Is that right?

Should a person in that case not be allowed to choose at a later date: But if the Doc just put male then under one of the many silly laws, he will always be a male!

The Law in this country are VERY VERY slow to keep up with what is happening in the real world - but not as slow as peoples attitudes!

Personally, I think the law shouldn't get involved - if anyone wants to be anything then someone else accepts them as that and then THEY decide that they wish to marry - GO FOR IT!

Afraid not. Legally they remain the original sex, and this is a subject of much debate amongst the transexual community I believe.

The basic problem lies with the fact that your sex is legally determined by your birth certificate, and this can not be changed.

Transexuals are lobbying for this to be changed so that birth certificates can be altered. I don't agree with this, as the birth certificate is exactly that, a certificate of your birth, so altering it to make it appear that you were born a different sex is utterly wrong.

What I do think is that there should be some other way of changing the legal sex of an individual, such as a supplementary document which, in concert with the birth certificate, shows that although you were born one sex, you have now legally changed to the other.

Look where no win no fee ads have got us !!!!

Sue ? Sue ? Sue for what exactly ?

Dear Mr Lawyer,

I went on national TV where I was filmed 24/7 and revealed God knows what about my personality. I was made aware that I would be sharing my accommodation with 11 other people.
It transpires that one of these people was transexual. Their sex change has not affected me in anyway, but we had to share a bedroom.
I wish to sue Channel 4 (not even endemol) for £1 million because......erm......well.....oh I don't know.
Yours sincerely
Attention Seeking TV Wannabe.

What will be next.....
I wanna sue cos there was a Lesbian/gay man/heterosexual who I didn't like/black man/muslim/wall covered in dildos !!!!!!!!!!!!!

(granted if you took a nasty fall and gouged your eye out on the dildo wall you may have a case !!!!LOL )

They would have no grounds to sue

She is legally a woman now and has no obligation to reveal anything (she may feel she should if she becomes romantically linked to another housemate - but that would be it)

Legal points aside, Nadia has a female mind which she has probably always had (the medical name for this condition is Gender Dysphoria - your body and your mind are different sexes). Now she has a female body as well, so she is female.

If a man lost his tackle in an accident, he would still be a man as his body and mind are both still male - same thing if a woman has a hysterectomy, or a mastectomy - her body and mind are still female.

Thats how I see the issue anyway.

Totally agree - what happnes is the body develops as one gender and the brain as another and this happens in the womb

If she does get the men more and more interested will be funny if she spills the beans - especially if its the incredibly liberal minded Ahmed

This is all really serious, isn't it?

The one bedroom is there for added irritation, and possible nookie.

ok ok ok! I am not challenging transexuals or their gender orientation!

But i wouldn't feel happy sharing a bed with her, would you?
madfriend

Why ? Why would you be unhappy sharing a bed ? It wouldn't mean you were obliged to sleep with her. I was under the impression only married couples were obliged - te he !!
