A lot of a "newbie" with this.
Recently acquired, I have a couple of Q's 1. I will need DVD -RW or DVD -R ? 2. I have a lot of old VCR tapes to record to DVD, these are old tapes with even older content, a lot of pre war British Transport Films, plus a lot of camcorder stuff. Can you suggest the optimum quality to record these at? I know if I use SP I should be looking at approx. 2 Hrs per Disk, but no point in recording in a better quality than original recordings. I would appreciate your thought on this. Regards |

This machine uses both of these types of discs. If you want to be able to record, erase, record, etc, then you use -RW, if you want once only recordings that you want to keep, you use -R.
Couldn't tell you what resolution to record your tapes at. Why don't you try a test? The only suggestion I would make would be to hook your video up, and try a few minutes at lots of different resolutions, and discover what is acceptable to you. |
