1080i HD - is it converted to 25 or 50 frames p/s?

I would suspect that 60fps is a U.S.A. design - Years ago I had put timing adjustments into the video output of a micro so that scrolling did not make the viewer sick.
A bluray delivering pictures to a display that's not 24p compliant afaik outputs at 60fps using pulldown and interlaced, which means they work with any HD-Ready display. Bluray is a universal format not UK PAL or US NTSC. Apart from regional codeing restrictions the discs are identical across the world. Pretty well any HD TV can use 25, 29.97, 50 and 60 fps but many won't cope with progressive pictures.

Yes, 1080i60 is fine on HD Ready TV's - it's just P that's not, on many/most sets.
