Hello, Yes that's the one I purchased, Very good for the money i purchased two Yamada's one at £45 and one at £29.99 from Amazon. the audio (through the RCA outputs are a joke) - see note later on. the remote large, but reasonable the unit is nice and small however to make it multi-region you have to:
1) open up the draw
2) type in 1379
3) put the region in region 9 mode.
Well, for £29-99 it's not bad, it's like comparing a Ford Ka to a Alfa Romeo 147, and with the Yamada (a subsidery of Umix or someone in Germany) you get the Ford Ka quality!
on the back it has RCA phono outputs audio left, audio right and video.
it comes with the (cheap) cables to connect it to a hi-fi or whatever - but if you are going to connect it to a hi-fi either buy some decent cables for it or fiddle with the volume - it could be signs of my JVC wanting it's burial soon, however, because all i got was crackling!
Reg. 2 (UK and Europe) playback is crystal clear - checked out a couple of Reg 1 discs, they play them but not as well as the Reg 2 DVD 's, plays my CD with MP3 files brillaintly and some "cough, do you want to buy some DVD's off of me for a £1 type ones" too not sure which region they are though.
no scart with it though
Instructions - in a booklet in landscape format and poor quality paper quite brief translated though I'd say.
The units display green and a picture of a disc and a chunk colured in going round at different speeds and directions depending on rewind/play/fwd etc. (Red) (Green lcd display) showing Title and hrs, mins, secs, DOESEN'T show chapters though,
That sums it up....
.... Pretty good for 30 quid.]
I'm a muppet!
Alex
