if a young woman entered the house now and said she had been forced into prostitution and abused as a child would we belive her after kittens lies? or dose kitten really belive she needs to use lies like this to win? (aka nasty nick)

Strangely enough, that's all Kitty's rebellion is too, romantic mythology!

Quote:

Can is the operative word here. She lacks both confidence and articulacy, as well as the real charisma needed to be the leader of a rebellion. Any influence she has had on the rest of the HMs so far has been in part due to the 'captive' nature of her audience. In the real world, these people will have told her to 'piss off' and have walked away.

“criticising someone's background is a lazy and cheap tactic.”

No it's not. Are we to disregard her background then? Earlier posters were practically pleading with others to take her supposed prostitution background into consideration as for her behaviour. It has to work both ways.

As has been pointed out by others, it's far easier to rebel - in fact do anything - with the saftey net of a money, comfortable lifestyle to fall back on. It is relevant.

LOOK you have been proven wrong!! Just accept it and get on with liking another housemate that no one else does..

As her parents visited her and her gf to deliver Easter eggs to them I think we can assume she is on speaking terms with them.

She just missed getting a First at Uni last year so she`s not exactly under-qualified. Her parents helped pay for her Uni education and re-mortgaged their house to pay for her to go to public school at HER request.

The girl is a fantasist and looks like she`s been spoilt rotten. She`s still having temper tantrums and still attention-seeking. It`s nothing to do with ideology.....it`s to do with her wanting to be the centre of attention.

She`s a fake.

She is possibly the most annoying HM I have had the displeasure to watch, but unfortunately she is not as annoying as Marco - "more camp than liberace" when he shrieks with gay abandon. On second thoughts kick them all out - hey that's the whole point isn't it ?!!

Now THAT surprises me.

Anyone know what she was studying (surely not politics)?

I said it after a few days of listening to her. She is a fantasist and complete fake. The producers seem to be completely taken in by her so far.

Just read the article in the paper. Why am I not surprised at her self delusions of hardships.

Well, she wasn't studying English, that's for sure!
Her grammar leaves a lot to be desired...

I think it is refreshing to have someone in the house who does not stand an earthly chance of winning, knows it and is at least trying to set an alternative agenda...even if it is half-assed. You will all miss her when it is just Ahmed, the Potugeezer and Stuart playing extreme I-spy.

The house would be a very quite place without her.

Feel sorry for her parents.

Kitten uses big words in the wrong context, it makes her look very stupid.

Oooohhh the outrage on this thread, so typical of Daily Mail readers. Anyone read the Mail's stuff on asylum seekers recently? How much resemblance to the truth does that have??? Next to zero, in my mind.

So, Kitten MAY have lied. I'll wait to hear what she has to say before passing judgement. Kitten's an intelligent woman and she must know that such a statement would be subject to scrutiny. So, IF she lied then it is part of her game plan just as it has been for the majority of BB housemates .... past and present.

Is Nadia not a liar? Did you see the coverage last night? Yet she isn't the victim of such vitriol! Is Daniel not a liar? Only in there for the experience, he claims, whilst all his friends and family have stated that he sees BB as nothing more than a quick way to stardom and the promotion of his music & dancing career. Yet again, he is spared the vitriol. Mind you Johnny Regan & Alison Hammond told the same lie and got away with it, so why not him?

At the end of the day Kitten MAY have told a lie to her housemates, not to me. I am just a viewer watching a gameshow. And, to be quite honest, I'd rather suffer Kitten's lies than those of dozens of other BB housemates that allege in the application process that they deserve a place in the BB House on the grounds that they are fun, loud & outrageous when nothing could be further from the truth.

"Kitten's an intelligent woman "

What makes you say that? She seems unable to think and talk at the same time. She seems more like an immature schoolgirl than a woman.

You have heard what she said, that's the point of this thread! If you're waiting for her reasoning as to why she fabricated this, what possible valid reason is there to have lied about becoming a pimped-out prostitute or to have lived in a squat? Even if you are suggesting it's not only an acceptible 'game plan', it's also traditional, does any of that actually make it right?

Firstly, I'm staggered if you can't tell the difference as to why Nadia has lied about her past and Kitten's lying. Nadia, has also said in the Diary Room that she feels uncomfortable getting into the situation where she's lying to the rest of the house mates.

Secondly, she has lied to the audience. I can't see how a comment like that wasn't made as much for the audience's 'benefit' as much as Victor's. It's the not the kind of comment that doesn't solicit some kind of reaction whether it was sympathy or disgust. In my case, it's both, I sympathise with any woman that has been forced or coerced into prostitution and I feel disgust at anyone who should lie about it.
