They did the press tour of the house last week, and those are allowed to be released on Wednesday, so expect house pictures, and then cast pictures to follow shortly after.

Does "one power is changing big time" mean the HOH nominates 3 people or is there a change to the veto procedure as well? I wonder if any vetoed nominations are not replaced, meaning that there could ed up being just two nominees on the block?
I think what it could mean that the person who wins the veto not only chooses who to use it on but also decides who to replace on the block that would be epic.

I wouldn't like that, it would strip the HoH's power far too much. But regardless, all those clues were proved to be false, so no power is changing in a big way (as far as we know).

I'd hate it if the Veto rules were at all changed. I'd say that whilst obviously the HoH competition is the more important, the Veto and who wins it is what causes some of the more exciting moves.

I would much rather them keep the basic format the same to be honest, though im not against change either

One of the twists for this season has been revealed in a new promo. It seems this season will be Big Brother meets The Mole. In the promo Julie Chen says that for the first time ever one housemate will NOT be playing to win, and instead is a saboteur that will wreak havoc in the house.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmw4CnYBM34

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I loved The Mole, but I don't want to see it within Big Brother, because it sounds like it'll be just another way for the producers to rig the season, if this person isn't playing to win, then they can use them to get want they want...say if they wanted to break an alliance up or something.

Hmm, I think it could be good if the saboteur isn't coached in the DR on what to do, but makes up their own mind on how to stir up the house instead. But that's unlikely, the producers will probably be giving them instructions.

Keep an eye on www.cbs2.com (it's the Los Angeles CBS affiliate website).

Diane Henry (BB5 and BB All-Stars) has been conducting pre-interviews of the houseguests (yes, we say houseguests here) for the last 4 years. They aren't the best interviews but she tends to get some of the personality out of them because she was a houseguest.

She offers an alternate pre-bio that the official website may not touch on.

The bios should be popping up any day now. The houseguests should be thrown into the house sometime this weekend for the traditional 4-5 day grace period before the Internet feed lights up after the premiere.

Oh god, I absolutely hate this idea. Its clearly going to be a device to keep the audience favourites around yet again.

I hate that since Grodner has been around, you pretty much have to be an audience favourite to win the game. Whilst i'd rather see someone I like do well, I really hate it when certain players get advantages to help them out, which is what inevitably be what the mole is about.

Well, on the plus side at least it's not some crappy team or clique type twist. I mean, we're always going to get a shitty twist, and this one doesn't sound quite so bad as last years High School clique twist, or Big Brother 9's couples twist.

Thats true, but I actually quite liked last years twist after hating it pre-season. Hopefully i'll feel the same this year. Out of interest does anyone know whether the mole will be able to win the game? I know it's not their intention, but i'm guessing it'd be possible.

On the promo Julie says that the mole will not be playing to win, whether that means he/she can't win I'm not sure.

It'd be funny if the mole got evicted in the first week or the second. Obviously the producers will probably be anticipating them being nominated too soon though and may have something planned.

I'm glad there's 14 houseguests this year. 12 or 13 isn't enough for me.

TV Guide article, featuring a shot of the house interior: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/KennyN/BB12.jpg

"Interactive audience participation". It sounds like this mole twist is just going to be America's Player but with inability to win the game.

I'm still excited, and I can't wait for tomorrow, getting to look at the new housemates, and watch the Diane interviews, and making snap judgements on these new hamsters.

WHO IS THE "BIG BROTHER" SABOTEUR?
In a Series First, One Contestant Will Enter the BIG BROTHER House With One Goal: To Secretly Wreak Havoc on Their Fellow Contestants

Fans will Provide Unprecedented Influence over the Game as the "Saboteur" Receives Their Suggested Tasks Directly from the Audience

The producers of BIG BROTHER are implementing a major twist for this season's batch of Houseguests that will top all past seasons. One Houseguest, known as the Big Brother Saboteur, will enter the house to play their own game, unbeknownst to their fellow competitors. The Saboteur's mission will be to carry out viewer suggestions on how best to disrupt the lives of fellow players.

Upon moving into the house on premiere night, Houseguests will discover that one of them is not really there to win the game, but rather to sabotage their fellow players. While the saboteur's identity will remain a secret to the Houseguests, America will learn his/her identity on Thursday, July 15, during the first LIVE show. At that time, fans can begin offering suggestions for how the saboteur should disrupt the game. The longer the saboteur is able to maintain their anonymity while carrying out their fan-inspired sabotage, the more financially rewarding it will be for them. For instructions on how to submit suggestions to the Big Brother Saboteur, visit http://www.cbs.com/bbtwist.

"We've inserted a game piece into the show this season that will make life for the Houseguests harder than ever before," stated Allison Grodner, Executive Producer of BIG BROTHER. "This is a twist that will wreak havoc on the house and the audience will be a part of it."
So, it's just America's Player except that they can't win the game.

Pretty much just like America's Player then.

Someone nudge me when the houseguest teasers slip out.

I dont understand how this would work. The mole would have to be involved in the main game, or else the other housemates would click that somethings up when the HoH would make his nominations and isnt allowed to put up the mole.

Im guessing the mole will be playing the game and could hypothetically win, but wouldnt be playing to win either.

The saboteur is revealed during the first live eviction - imagine if it was their eviction.

The mole/saboteur has to "maintain their anonymity" - so will they be ejected if someone figures it out? Or will it be up to the houseguests to get them out? Because if the saboteur can't win - surely they'll want to keep them in after working out who it is. I don't fully understand it either, hope they're not going to make it up as they go along.

Well if the saboteur is found out, I guess they'd be pretty pointless because nobody would listen to anything they had to say anyway.

I'd actually quite like it if a woman were the sabeteur. This sounds very similar to America's Player, so it'd be cool if they used a girl for a change of pace.
