I couldn't decide which thread to put this on, Ben or Mario's, and then I remembered this one and it's perfect.

Okay, did anyone else get the feeling Davina was trying to matchmake these two tonight? She clearly loves Ben and has said so a few times. He was the only ex-HM she was beaming at.

When Ben was there she mentioned how it was so nice to see him and Mario back together when Ben went back into the house. Then during Mario's interview there were a lot of Ben references and when Mario mentioned the player thing she defended him and basically said he wasn't one. Then asked if Ben was his type. The look on Ben's face looked almost eager, he was very interested in the response.

Coupled with her comments on BBLB last Friday saying how she loved their reunion. I think she's plotting, in a good way.

Ben couldn't wait to get him hug off Mario and looked a bit bashful afterwards. I don't think he wanted to let go. Awww.

i kept on watching for any interaction my two faves and those first couple of weeks was brilliant those two together and then the creepy, slimy backstabbing monk latched onto Ben and it all went wrong,(he wanted a bit of Ben im sure) i detest that backstabber so much and to come 2nd over mario a travesty i agree with that man a few were suspect gay men

I am disspointed in how everything has happaned through all the bitching on both sides,the petty little agruments even when Mario nommited Ben i still loved both boys.I still do i think .The problem with Ben/Mario is that neither of them have been grown up enough to sit down and talk about their issues instead they talk about them with just about anyone else as witnessed today.I am disappointed in what Mario said and the fact that he aired his views on a public forum but i am sure i will love him again soon enough i did every other time i got annoyed with them.I truly believe no matter what they say they have a genuine affection for each other.It was evident so often in the house.No matter whether they sort they issues out or not what i saw in that house was true friendship.They stuck up for each other,made each other laugh and most of the time were very kind to eachother.I am more of a Ben fan but i wish both Boys the best of luck with the future and for me both made BB11 one of the best for me.I hope they manage to sort everything out if not then i am both boys lead happy and healthy lives and find whatever they are looking for in their live.xx

Mario was asked a question and he answered truthfully and kindly he wished ben well for the future, I don't get how people are turning on Mario because he doesn't want to be mates with someone who bitched about him for months and very very nastily too, it was mostly personal stuff he said about mario.
Obviously Mario isn't as much a push over as people thought, the fictional life of ben duncan can remain a fiction mario isn't an arse licker, he's kind to his mates and avoids those who stabbed him in the back, good for him!
It's crazy how people turn on him because he doesn't want to be friends with people who have been really nasty about him, none of you would be mates with ben if today you discovered a website where he was slagging you all off, calling you pathetic losers, talking about your looks, so why should mario forgive and forget?
If people like Ben that's ok too but why insist that mario has to like him, I can't stand Dave with a passion but if mario was mates with him I wouldn't hate him for it.

I am sorry if i have offended you.I agree Mario was asked a question which he answered truthfully.The only reason why i was annoyed by what had been said was that just last night Ben was very nice about Mario on the radio so clearly had no idea that anything was wrong between them.Mario then came onto DS this morning and instead of saying 'We are no longer friends' was quite personal and cruel about Ben.However i have not turned on Mario i still like him very much .I havent at any point insisited that Mario has to like Ben or that Ben has to like Mario so that comment is rather silly.They is also a team Ben/Corin a team Mario/Sam etc there is a team because people like their friendship.I dont think it is sad in the slightest

There was not much kindness from Mario today,unlike Ben last night who was very sweet about Mario.

Personally I could not care less about them being friends, in fact way back when Ben was evicted the message I left for Ben was to warn him to not let either Dave or Mario into his life.
He has loads of great friends and does not need Mario, Mario admitted in his eviction interview that he was vile to Ben and that love turned to hate.

As soon as Mario realised that Ben was not going to get with him he turned nasty, always being snide, moody and off with Ben.
It was always a mystery to Ben why Mario was so vile and bitchy with him and Bens bitchy comments about Mario were because of Mario's behaviour towards him, what would you expect him to do when Mario would not discuss it.
At least Ben appreciated the friendship Mario and he had shared and never nommed him, unlike Mario of course, who now says he nommed him because he realised that Ben was using him for his career.
Who the hell does Mario think he is that Ben should feel knowing Mario would further his career, why would he say that, he is a nobody and likely to remain so.
Ben does not need Mario, if they get over it and become friends then good for them, I doubt it though, Ben had Mario's number when he said to Dave that he does not think that Mario is a very nice person.

Clearly their friendship wasn't going to last. It was always a very unhealthy one. Ben always got more out of the friendship anyway, what with Mario saving his ass from all the others ganging up on him in the house, to helping him do the simplest chores around the house.
With friends like Ben, who on earth would need enemies?
You're supposed to be honest with your friends, even if it means telling them something you would rather not. Being cowardly and two-faced about things only leads to problems, further paranoia and Chinese whispers. It wasn't just Mario who bore the brunt of it either, John James got his fair share of slating from Ben. Infact it would almost alternate between the two each day.

I know they say 'if you heard what your friends said about you behind your back then you wouldn't have any friends' but Ben takes it to another level.
He was almost exposed a few times and panicked when he thought his comments would reach the person they were about. That was hilarious.

They are far too different anyway.
Just because they were forced together in the BB house, doesn't mean that they should continue it out of the house.
Although if that's how Ben talks about his friends then I'm surprised he even has any, or if he even wants them.

Ben knows he was bitchy. He said he admitted he was 'dreadful' to Mario when he returned to the house, and he's spoken of regret in several interviews.

Ben is sorry and ready to move on. Mario however, doesn't think he's behaved badly in anyway even though he was pretty nasty and selfish in the house too, and is obviously not sorry at all and even holding a grudge.

Personally, given all that, I hope Ben doesn't give a crap about Mario (sorry, I know this is the Ben/Mario AT thread) because I don't think Mario is worth the bother, but I think Ben does.

There is nothing Ben can do, however, the problem is with Mario.

I think that Mario airing this in a public forum and not Ben indicates that it is Mario who's the one who doesn't give a crap to be honest.

But I suspected that when Mario used Ben's feelings to save himself from Save and Replace even though Mario had disgregarded or not cared about Ben's feelings when he nominated him. I actually think it's fair enough that Mario nominated Ben, but it takes a very callous person to pretend there was still some semblence of friendship, whilst knowing different on their side, to save their own skin. Ben has written it of as Mario playing the game and nothing personal, but I don't like what is says about Mario's character.

Ben told the daily star or some tabloid that mario was a back stabber so why does mario telling a forum he's not mates with Ben make him worse? Tabloid or forum?

Callous? I was going to give an example of a really callous thing ben said about mario that no one would forgive or be able to justify but it's probably best forgotten

It's all kicking off with the mario vs the ben fans I think that's all this has achieved really tho, I don't think ben will care at all now that he's back to his own life, except he may get asked about it now in interviews, maybe that was mario's intension for doin this.But it's obvious that mario is feeling hurt and angry, can't say I blame him, but this is not the best way of resolving it.

Mario never wanted anyone to know when he was hurt in the house, that's why he would'nt talk things over, I think they were both passive aggressive characters and that was part of the problem, they would both withdraw and not resolve their issues. I guess you can't blame him for havin a pop at ben, although in trying to put things straight it looks like mario's just taking an op to have a pop, just like ben did

In response to this comment - Of course you should talk to that person directly. However, did Ben not follow Mario around the house for a day asking what the problem was when Mario started blowing cold for whatever reason? Mario didn't want to talk though and did not tell him - instead made cryptic digs about his character or just blanked him. I don't blame Ben for not trying to talk to Mario after that, to be honest, although to be fair, maybe Ben could have tried harder in perfect world.

Ben also said that whilst he felt Mario did backstab him because of the nomination coupled with the S&R tactic that Mario callously tried on, it said he understood why Mario did it and had no personal grudges. I think that context is important. Mario naturally has a right to reply, which is difficult, but there is no real issue.

Mario is saying that Ben backstabbed him, no acknowledgement that he was bit of a shit too when he was (no he didn't bitch much, but he made petty digs whenever he could which was often, which is NOT honest in my book, and he even sought Ben out to purposely wind him up) and holding grudges. It is obvious that there is a issue here, and a right of reply is probably more important in this case.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Ben is entirey blameless in this relationship, he is selfish, he was a bitch (which is why i think the nomination was fair) but out of the two, I respect Ben's recognition that he was wrong and attitude towards what happened a bit more than Mario's.

I'm perfectly aware what was said on LF, I got pretty irrate too at Ben in fact. However, that does not negate what Mario did in any way. Same for Ben.

OK, I'm going to stop now, since this is staring another war and I don't think either sets of fans want that. We shall have to agree to disagree. Sorry if I offended anyone, that was not my intent.
