I thought I completely agreed with you, but -- it wasn't just that he was having an affair with another woman, and he could finish it, end of story. Todd is gay and that wasn't going to change, so even though she did make him 'choose' and dump Karl, that isn't really good enough. If she had been a bit more mature she would have seen that even if he chose Sarah it was never going to turn out right, and Sarah needed to know what was happening.
