o2 Early Upgraders check your contract expiry date.
My o2 contract was due to expire November 2011.. I paid the early upgrade fee of £320 and signed up to a new 24 month tariff.
By my reckoning this should take me up to the 23-June-2012.... According to o2 , my contract renewal date is now 23-Oct-2013,,,,,, If you have taken the early upgrade offer, i would recommend you check they have not whacked another 24 months onto the end of your existing contract, as they seem to have done with mine... Will let you know the outcome of my email to customer services. |

Not really. Handset was free on contract which I would have to pay anyway. Will get a minimum of £240 for my 3GS so in effect will cost me a maximum of £80.

Is the new iphone REALLY worth it over the 3GS tho?
I upgraded early a year ago and now my contract states upgrade date September 2009 but when I go to a shop to upgrade it tells them I cant, o2 CS say its something like nov 2011 wheras in reality its actually jan 2011... The only way I can get that from them is by asking them to manually COUNT 24 month from when I upgraded last. Their system is utterly confused and pretty much useless. I keep trying the online upgrade on the off chance it lets me but alas, no such luck

I think it is... otherwise I wouldnt have bothered...
My contract expiry date is now showing as correct in my o2 account, but not had a reply from customer services concerning so... Perhaps it just rectified itself overnight. |

If you early upgrade you WILL be locked into either a 18 or 24 months contract from the date you upgrade - regardless how long your current contract lasts.
