Hello all.

Loving my iPhone 4 but sadly when I tried taking some sample pictures I notice a brown circle in the middle of all the images. It's more present in some lighting conditions than others. I didn't notice it first thing this morning when taking some images when I first got it but after going back and looking at them again it's present on those too but only faint.

I have a couple of samples for you where it's most obvious to see. Look in the middle of each image, you'll see it. You can see the circle on the phones screen too. If you use the digital zoom it magnifies the brown circle.

Is my camera broken and requires a trip back to the Apple store?

This is an indoor image taking a picture of an envelope at close range. It appears to be getting more darker and visible.

I'm going to throw my issue on in your thread, save starting another; My camera flash totally blinds out the image I am taking, it's just a blue hue. Not happy-

Professional camera forums with similar issues suggest dust on the camera lens. I want my money back if they don't replace the device and simply offer to open and clean it.

Take it back - had same problem on my Kodak Zi8 and no, it was not dust on the lense (which you will hear so many times).
If it happens on all pics then it's an internal problem.

Yep looks like a faulty unit. I'd take it back.

argh, I see now, I though wow, great pic, but i see the mark, I would suggest, taking off the plastic cover on the back and giving the lense a good clean, check and if still bad, return for a exchange.

I returned the phone to the Apple store I purchased it from this morning and they swapped it out for a brand new phone without issue.

Nice to see they opened early again today at 8am and the Apple store in Sheffield still has some available walk-in stock. I was worried I was going to be told to return in a couple of weeks to replace it.
