can i get any sort of converter to link up my sky+ box to my sony davs300 dvd player,i know yhat my dvd hasn't got a optical input,can it be done any other way?this is for the dd5.1 by the way!

If you're unit has composite (red/white/yellow) input's on the back, you can use these and listen in pro logic. I have the davs888 which has composite inputs and use these for freeview.

I'm pretty sure your DAVS300 doesn't have any sort of digital input, which means you aren't going to get Dolby Digital from your SKY+ box
