Aphrodite is a brilliant pop/dance summer album. I was up late last night listening to this because the songs on here are SO DAMN catchy. Totally loving "Too Much" (Calvin Harris really brings out the goods in this track) while "Put Your Hands Up", "Aphrodite" (the breakdown in the middle reminds me of Grace Jones' "Slave To the Rhythm"), "Get Out Of My Way", "Cupid Boy" and "Can't Beat This Feeling" are all worthy of a single release. I predict this will outsell X easily.
Whether it has leaked or not, i won't download it. I'm going to buy it. I am getting the deluxe, not even sure what is on the second disc! lol.

Hmmm I don't like much. There are only two songs I can see performing as singles. The rest is meh. I was excited for Stuart Price but this is no Confessions On A Dancefloor. I prefered X to this.

Ya know...I thought it'd be alittle bit better. Like most pop albums, it hits some big highs but then kinda snags along the way. Some songs I thought would be better based on the samples but overall it is good. In general, I actually liked X better, even tho this one is super cohesive and has a general message rather than the last album which was completely scatter shot.

i agree with this, but in all honesty COADF is in another league altogether! it was my fave pop album of the last decade alongside Gorillaz Demon Days,Xtina's Stripped and Britney's Blackout.
but i do think Aphrodite has some potential, there've been better albums this year for certain but of course Kylie has a strong fanbase and i see it doing well, i reckon she has three potential hits on it, but the highlights here are Stuarts synthy productions. also surprised Nerina Palot has written some dancey songs :O but a nice surprise as Aphrodite is probably the best song on it! IMO!
it's a album that hardcore fans will love and embrace, but to me it cannot touch Fever but that's my opinion, i prefer it to X though.
i'd rate it 3/5 stars maybe 3.5/5 as it has a general appeal about it which is likeable!

I'm going to as well - the deluxe edition is pre-ordered. I don't see the big deal with d/l if it leaks..I'm still forking out cash for when it does get released
