One of my favourite bands of all time, and one of the bands I grew up with. Neil Finn is one of the all time great songwriters, imo. So, presuming you are a fan of Crowded House, which is your favourite of their studio albums:

I really love 'Time On Earth', Neil was really on fire with that album. I love his solo albums as well, much more than any of the old Crowded House records (though there are obviously some gems on them).

I have all the remastered Split Enz albums (Tim and Neil Finn's brilliant band pre-Crowded House) and I prefer those to the old Crowded House too.

The new album, 'Intriguer', is ok but not all I wanted it to be. Doesn't come close to 'Time On Earth'. I didn't like it much at first but then I found myself subconsciously singing along to 'Twice If You're Lucky' so it's obviously growing on me. 'Archer's Arrows' is classic Neil, that does have to be said.

Difficult to say, really - Tim Finn is a brilliant songwriter, and I find that my "favourite" album varies, depending on how I feel. Good to find a thread on proper music as well, as opposed to the drivel that fills the charts these days!!!!

Have to admit loved the very early stuff saw them at the Horden Pavillion in Sydney around the first album loved Mean to Me. They were brill
