Have now got fed up with this. If you can't rely on the epg for setting recordings then the box is useless. Have reported this to Humax and hope others will also do this.

The only thing you can do at this stage is revert to defaults which will give the correct EPG info. Not an ideal solution I know, but at the moment have no other option.
I did mine this morning, activated PiP with Fiver and BBC1 and had a full EPG within 10 mins which I was rather suprised by as when I first installed v.23 it took over 3 hours to populate.

I do understand the above but given that I have got a lot of programs waiting to be recorded I am not willing to do this.
THIS IS A MAJOR BUG IN THE .23 FIRMWARE THAT I WILL BE EXPECTING HUMAX TO FIX ASAP.As of 11:30 today the EPG on my 9300T is still broken showing F1 on both BBC1 and BBC2. No Football on BBC1!!!

I know you're annoyed, I am too. But it is attitudes like this that are the problem.
Humax need to fix this SLOWLY, Expecting them to fix things ASAP is how we got to where we are.

I supect it's just that broadcasters are chopping and changing with the schedule, with football and what have you, and the new, slower, Humax EPG updating can't keep up with it.
Just to let you know I just put my 9300T on (12:05) and the "now / next" update from the BBC corrected the issue. It also removed my recording of the F1 racing as well!!!
I am now certain there is a bug in the new EPG routines!!!

Hmm... Can't help but feel a little 'miffed' by this situation. I don't know whether Humax deserve all the blame they are likely to get for this, or if the BBC should be preparing an apology too.
It is now twenty past twelve, and neither box has started to record the F1. Box 1 showed no signs of trying, I had reset it to the default settings on Friday and set the Qualifying on a Series Link, Sundays race as a manual recording for BBC2 - although the EPG was showing the race on both BBC1 and BBC2 at the same time. Box 2 powered up at eleven fifty five as it should have done, having set the Qualifying on a Series Link, waiting to see if it spotted that the race had switched channels - the EPG was again showing the race on both BBC1 and BBC2 at the same time, yet it decided to record neither.
Wonder how the football will cope? Perhaps as it is simply staying on BBC1 (with the programme extended) the series link will correct it and only F1 fans will be looking for retribution...

I've written to Humax asking them to introduce a bug that deletes from the schedule all future England games.

Same here. Quite apart from the EPG problems, both my boxes have had several failures to record that were unrelated to EPG changes. The common factor was failure to come out of standby to make a scheduled recording.
I've now gone back to .21, with which I've had fewer problems than others have suffered.

After all my previous praise for Humax continuing to develop the software for the PVR9200T I am disappointed with this version (V23). I too have had (not only the F1 on Sunday) far too many failed recordings and so once the F1 was over, I've downgraded both my units to V21. I've also turned off the Auto-Update this time!
Perhaps V24 will have a 'wipe EPG' option? Mind you, now the football is over, maybe everything will settle down anyway?

I'm it's a Humax bug. My Sony Bravia TV EPG updated on Friday or Saturday to the correct schedule. My Humax still shows Formula 1 on both BBC1 and BBC2.
I personally feel that the stored EPG is a retrograde step. At least with the old software EPG changes loaded within minutes of them being transmitted by the broadcaster.
And eight-ten minutes wasn't that long to wait for the EPG to load at startup!

I have no problem with the stored EPG it's just that Humax have not thought through all the update reasons/processes. What I would have thought was that when there was any update, like in the previous versions, they would have applied the update to the EPG that is in memory - that is when the machine is out of standbye. When in standbye then when it is brought out I would have compared the store with what was being downloaded and update it........simples.....

Just to add my experience. on Thursday I used the EPG to set up the Grand Prix to record from BBC1. Heard that all had changed so on Saturday used the EPG to set the recording for the Sunday (now BBC2). Noticed that the F1 was still scheduled on BBC1.
Watched qualifying (Sat) - despite being on for 2 hours and tuned to BBC1, the EPG did not remove the BBC1 entry for the Sunday nor show the correct times on BBC2. Consequently, today, the race stopped recording around lap 27.
Hitting the record button at this point, my 9200 did set the recording to the correct times although it thought that it was recording Tara Road (the film that was originally scheduled to be on BBC2). Once the recording had finished and I tuned into the England match, the EPG had then updated itself to be correct for the England game and the F1.
Note: I do not use series link/accurate recording but autopadding instead.

The schedule changed on Thursday and the EPG was (eventually) updated, but wrongly.

I suspect a simpler brute-force method of continuously updating the EPG - transferring the broadcast carousel data to the EPG in memory - is used (ie. not explicitly seeking changed entries to update).
All that have changed are;
on entering standby the EPG is copied from memory to HDD and on booting (from user-initiated power-on or from a timer) is copied back from HDD to memory,
and;
less processing time is given to servicing the carousel download in order to make the PVR more responsive.
Which would guarantee any reservation made will require manual correction.

I believe the stored EPG was implemented as a means of "curing" the slow response issue rather than just being a perceived improvement in its own right. It was presented by Humax as a response to a wish from users but it has obviously introduced its own problems. Not as un-usual occurrence when new features are incorporated.

Even with Humax's "buggy" reputation I find it hard to believe they would have released V23 into production without testing bog standard EPG updates. Something makes me think there was something unusual going on with this EPG change
When Coronation Street kept getting cancelled earlier in the month, these EPG changes worked fine on my 9300 but I can't remember whether I had v23 or 22 at that point
