I've had a good look about and decided the HTC desire is the one for me. The only bother is I'm in a 12month 02 simplicity contract for a tenner a month and have at least 9 months left

I'm trying to ring 02 now, been on hold for ages, to see what my options are, really want to cancel, so I can go with orange 25 per month, free phone and 300 mins ultd txt and internet.

What charges am I likely to incur?

Pay off the remainder of your months muliply by monthly cost. Or buy the phone out right for £285 on o2 google it online. Phone is £385 on amazon sim free so o2 price beats it. Once you buy phone it is unlocked after your 12 months simplicity you can you your phone on any network. Do the calculations much much cheaper than being in a contract! Just that little upfront price but add it all together and you win.

Here you go - all the information you need:

I thought you can add bolt-ons to your existing contract that don't cost an awful lot, so it would still work out cheaper than buying out your contract?
