I buy songs from iTunes, Amazon and Play.com.

I'm one of these that believes in paying for my music if it's available to buy. If I can't get hold of a song via download than I will nab it off somewhere like YouTube until it does become available.

Back in the day when dinosaurs roamed the planet (around 1983) , I remember being able to buy singles for around £1.25 and nowadays they're around 79p and 99p on iTunes. I don't think people can really grumble at paying 99p for a song.

As I'm old, i don't do singles only albums and I always buy the CD. I like to actually own something rather than just have it stored on my PC.

I haven't purchased a CD in years. I buy a lot more songs now I have my Ipod Nano, before I used to rip a lot of stuff off youtube but I haven't done that for ages unless it's a song that I can't find on Itunes. I prefer to pay and have a proper quality song and the cover art as well.

Download singles but buy albums. I like to physically own an album then it be a little file on my computer, especially if my computer was to break, i can just listen to the album on my stereo

Plus if you lose the music, you can upload it again. Where as if you only have it as a file from itunes, you have to buy it again.

I buy songs from Itunes and maybe the odd download off Youtube if I can't find a song on Itunes or I just want the song temporarily (if I'm not sure whether to buy it or not).

Rapidshare. If I like it I'll then buy the cd when I know it won't be re-released with a load of new songs.

Amazon and iTunes for my musical needs. Occasionally rip some stuff from YouTube if it's not available anywhere else.

Normally buy albums, hardly ever buy singles. Singles if I'm not gonna get the album (Starrstrukk - 3oh!3) but that is a rareity.

Ocassionly i rip off youtube, if im downloading for someone else or the song isn't that good to deserve payment.

I religously get the psychicals of Gaga and Kylie.

I download legally but (even though I've never done it myself) I agree with Guy Garvey when it comes to doing it illegally.

I DL a lot of free legal stuff from places like RCLBL.com and such, a fair bit of itunes and when i'm quite excited about an album i'll actually buy it.

I wouldn't go near torrents or such like, personally i like to think that spending money on a song ensures that more music of the kind I like will be made and supported by labels. The only thing of questionable legality i do music wise is DL mash ups purely because i couldn't possibly buy them legally if I tried.

I usually listen to albums/artists on Spotify to decide whether I like them or not. Then I buy their CDs from amazon or play.com. A lot of secondhand CDs are actually much cheaper than downloads from itunes/amazon. And there is the advantage of having a physical CD that you can hold, admire, and look through the booklet.

Physical CD albums I buy far too often much to the grievance on my bank account. I download the occasional single from iTunes, but tend to wait for the popular ones to be on the next 'Now' compilation, and to bridge the gap listen to them on Spotify.

^This for me too. I now stream on Spotify, and if I like it I'll put it to my Amazon or iTunes basket, depending on who has it cheaper. I only use YouTube for when neither have the song to download, which is relatively rare, thankfully.

Legal download mainly. I will however be buying a physical copy of Eminem's Recovery album if I like the inlay.

ETA: Just seen them...not great imo but I'll still buy it...if anybody is interested the photos are here

I pay for my downloaded songs/albums from places like iTunes, play.com, amazon and 7 Digital. About the only CD's I would now buy from a shop are those in HMV's 2 for £10 deals.
