Jedwards new album is an album full of covers according to a digital spy article.

Considering when they came off x factor they said we are gonna do something that no one will expect, something different. Yet here they are doing an album of covers. Tut Tut Tut.

Haven't they disappeared yet?

This album will be an epic fail. No one's interested anymore (if they ever were in the first place - I wasn't)

I liked them on X Factor just because they made a total mockery of the show

Anyway, no-one will buy their album and they will fade into obscurity, only to appear on the odd bargain-basement tv show for a short while.

Why the hell do they have a record deal? They have to do covers because they're too untalented to write their own songs, idiots.

It includes a cover of 'Teenage Kicks'

I think I can hear the sound of John Peel turning in his grave. Probably at the wrong speed.

Is this Louis Walsh's doing?

I LOLed when he said that he knows more about what the younger generation want than Bruce Forsyth!

He's such a pathetic potato-head and gives the XF no credibility whatsoever. Why did Simon have to bring him back?

Jedward need to flop. Music shouldn't be about "oh let's just rush out an album of covers, it'll definitely sell cos of the hype and we don't need to waste money getting decent material cos the ignorant kids will buy it nonetheless". If they get an XF slot, I may have to stop watching the show.

I can't believe they actually got an album after their single bombed. I think it's clear right now that there's a lack of interest in them.

To Louis Walsh - stop trying to make Jedward happen. They're not going to happen.

They should have had an original song like Chico or The Cheeky Girls... something camp and cheesey... an album of covers is truly pointless.

And I thought westlife were bad for doing so many covers, but at least they could sing.

Since when was a number 2 single a bomb?

Kylie's heading for number 4 - is she a flop?

Sigh. Chart placements are irrelevant. It debuted at #2 and fell down the chart immediately. Last time I checked it hadn't even sold 150k copies, which is a flop considering the promotion.

Chart positions mean nothing. It's the sales that count.

It's got 'novelty' written all over it. Jedward aren't even that entertaining - they're just two kids with weird hairdos jumping around and badly singing on stage. You can see that at your local pub's karaoke night for a fraction of the price.

Christina Agulera's album was a flop too. I hope they have some decent material for it or it;ll go the same way. They better be good covers.

Its just a bit of Cheeky Girls / Joe Dolce / Black Lace style fun and I'm looking forward to getting it.

Most of Leona Lewis and nearly all of Susan Boyles debut albums had covers on them.

Actually, on Leona's debut's Deluxe edition, out of 17 songs, only 3 were covers?

Leona didn't.

Only Run, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and I Will Be were covers.

The vast majority of the album was original.

Likewise, only Stop Crying Your Heart Out was a cover on Echo. All the rest were originals.
