I thought i'd sign up for Orange care, £6 a month a bit expensive but thought it would be worth it, So called them up "Oh for an iPhone its £12 a month" I mean for £12 a month you'd need to have it stolen to get any value out of it, thats shocking I thought.

Any other ideas for insurance for an iPhone? I came across Endsleigh they are fairly cheap then you read the reviews http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews77241.html they don't pay out, I am thinking I may be better upgrading my home insurance to add personal possessions cover.

We have both of our iPhones on our home contents cover. Added about £10-£15 a month (for both phones) to the premium which is much cheaper than what the networks are asking

Mine would cost £42 per year to do this,I think its the only way to go, does that cover loss/theft etc?

Depends on your insurer I guess. Should say on their websites or in your policy booklet at a guess. Certainly should be covered for loss or theft though some may not cover accidental damage (or in my case it does but not water damage)

Be sure to check that the insurance provides enough cover. Mine only covered mobile phones by default up to a value of £250 and I had to add the phones as specified personal possessions to get the cover up to the needed £450 (3GS) and £500 (4)
