Does anyone know what the icons mean?

ie. I keep getting a red clock covering the smilie face of my contact - what does this mean?

Have you upgraded to the latest version? You should have contact photos for ur BBM friends, not smilie faces.

Nope, I tried to but when I d/l the newer version I it said there was an error and then both versions disappeared from my BB! I'm accessing my contact list through the messages inbox...!
