spkx - you seem like someone who knows what they are talking about. Could you not start up a campaign to stop this domination of the radio by a certain few. I particularly don't understand how a few "chosen ones" get played on both Radio 1 and Radio 2. What's that all about?
Russelllan also has a great point in his post about how it used to work prior to the A B or C list. It would be great if the 2 main publicly funded Radio Stations could play a wider mix of music and stop this monopoly by the few.

Not surprised that Empire State of Mind is no.1 , not at all. It would literally be everywhere, almost un-escapable through the range of stations I listen to, and I used to love it, then got irritated by it... then the part II version came out and I could like that one a bit.. then I just got irritated again.

Thanks for the interesting list Haden

The Radio Stations totally rule and decree what's IN or OUT

I think it's bloody shameful

Heart fm really annoy me. They play more of the unsuccessful songs then they do the commericial ones. Or majority of it are old.

What a crap list. XFM, NME Radio and 6 Music are the only stations that I listen to so probably these songs aren't aimed at me.

This explains exactly why I don't think I will ever listen to mainstream radio again.
